As usual our monthly meetup is the last Wednesday of the month.

NOTE SPECIAL LOCATION THIS MONTH: RedBottle Design!

Agenda
Special Presentation: “Continuous Integration for Drupal with Installation Profiles, Aegir, TeamCity, and several helpful modules”

Not many things are as important to an agile development team as continuous integration—the concept of merging-in and testing fresh code from developers as soon as the code has been checked in, to catch defects and head off barriers to the team as soon as possible.

With Drupal, CI can sometimes be challenging. Fortunately, there are many tools out there that can help. In fact, there are a lot of tutorials out there for setting up a CI server with Jenkins or Hudson and Aegir. Unfortunately, there are surprisingly few out there for TeamCity, a little-known product from JetBrains that features a free tier and works exceptionally well for Drupal development.

Join Guy Paddock at the WNYDUG meeting on March 25th where he covers how you can set up a CI server from end-to-end—from source control to deployment—using easy-to-maintain Installation Profiles, Aegir, and TeamCity. Guy will also cover several modules that are helpful for handling everything from site configuration to content migration/content import.

As always, WNYDUG members and others are welcome. Please sign up using the G.d.o page.

Welcome to the Western New York State Drupal User Group’s monthly Hangout.

Important - change of virtual venue!

We are trying a new online hangout this month, we will be using meetup.wnydug.org instead of Google+ Hangout. Please note the change.

We will meet online and cover the following items:

1) Drupal Core Security Issue - SA-CORE-2014-005 (see reference links below)

2) We will NOT be holding the monthly in-person meetings in November and December

3) Mark your calendars for our January 28, 2015 in-person meeting. We are fortunate to be welcoming Toronto-based Drupal Specialist Chris Luckhardt to present his popular talk Introduction to Drupal 8 (Beta n) live and in the flesh. Again, that's our January brick-and-mortar meeting slated for Batavia. Stay tuned for more details.

The groups.drupal.org section including Buffalo, Rochester and Niagara Falls
Introduction

WNYDUG meets monthly at venues around the region, including Buffalo, Rochester, and Niagara Falls. All of us have a hand in sites built with Drupal and/or use Drupal on a daily basis. Our active members are designers, developers, entrepreneurs, business people, and everything in between.

Meetings can be attended in person or online, where we talk about recent Drupal news, upcoming releases, learn about other members’ projects, and hear presentations on subjects that both matter to us and motivate the Drupal community.
