Welcome to the Western New York State Drupal User Group’s monthly Google+ Hangout.

We will meet online.

Gorton Studios | NodeSquirrel, a Drupal dev shop/backup service in Minnesota, has offered to present "Emergency Preparedness for your Drupal Site." The session identifies steps that site maintainers can take both to prepare for and ameliorate the effects of unexpected site downtime.

Their goal is to give people helpful information about dealing with website emergencies, plus share a bit about NodeSquirrel and explain how Backup and Migrate/NodeSquirrel is part of being prepared.

Newbies, just join in when you can, here at the Hangout, starting at 7 p.m. A headset/mic gives the best results. Learn more at http://www.google.com/+/learnmore/hangouts/

As always, WNYDUG members and others are welcome to bring in Drupal questions, finds, and ideas.

Welcome to the Western New York State Drupal User Group’s monthly Hangout.

Important - change of virtual venue!

We are trying a new online hangout this month, we will be using meetup.wnydug.org instead of Google+ Hangout. Please note the change.

We will meet online and cover the following items:

1) Drupal Core Security Issue - SA-CORE-2014-005 (see reference links below)

2) We will NOT be holding the monthly in-person meetings in November and December

3) Mark your calendars for our January 28, 2015 in-person meeting. We are fortunate to be welcoming Toronto-based Drupal Specialist Chris Luckhardt to present his popular talk Introduction to Drupal 8 (Beta n) live and in the flesh. Again, that's our January brick-and-mortar meeting slated for Batavia. Stay tuned for more details.

The groups.drupal.org section including Buffalo, Rochester and Niagara Falls
Introduction

WNYDUG meets monthly at venues around the region, including Buffalo, Rochester, and Niagara Falls. All of us have a hand in sites built with Drupal and/or use Drupal on a daily basis. Our active members are designers, developers, entrepreneurs, business people, and everything in between.

Meetings can be attended in person or online, where we talk about recent Drupal news, upcoming releases, learn about other members’ projects, and hear presentations on subjects that both matter to us and motivate the Drupal community.
