This is a large and busy shop with an excellent range and turnover of freshwater tropicals and natives. I have used their online ordering/delivery service from interstate with excellent results - they showed real care about making sure the fish were in good condition to travel and their packing was excellent. I have visited the store twice in person and try to get back whenever I'm in Melbourne. I have been impressed each time - the stock has been in good condition and the tanks clean. I didn't have any problems with service (as have others) and was asked a few times each visit if I needed assistance even though I said I was just browsing.

Jem has been around for more than thirty years to my knowledge and the owners and staff really know their stuff. I have always found this to be the "go to" aquarium shop in Canberra. Always helpful and the fish are always of very-good to excellent quality. They are enthusiasts and will help customers plan and choose their setup and inhabitants. If they don't have something, they will get it for you.
