The world is a quiver with the daunting prospect of losing ones job to robots and through digitisation, but is it going to happen? In one sense, yes it is. Huge swathes of industry have revolutionised their working practices through robotics and digitisation as we will demonstrate. The question should be “Will the inevitable be a bad thing?”

In a recent article from the guardian, it was predicted that Robotics could take upto 4m private sector jobs in the UK within the next 10 years.

Where it states in the "future of employment" they argue that it is not possible for a computer to persuade, however this is incorrect, as can be demonstrated by automated sales system, although it would have to be sophisticated, the system would be able to change pitch, and ask and answer questions and provide reasonable arguments to various lines of thought. This means that of those employed in the field of persuasion and sales, it is likely that mass redundancies come to Bengalis as well as those in telesales. It is the future, not beetle nut.
