Swami Balendu writes about his time in Germany in 2004 when he was alone in a flat and started inviting people to join him for dinner.

Swami Balendu writes the recipe for Aam Shrikhand, which is a sweet yoghurt dish with mango taste. Try to prepare this dish, too!

Story
Tagline
A spiritual Guru who turned into an Atheist.
Introduction
I come from a very strong religious background but I do not consider myself anymore belonging to any religion and I believe the concept of religion is wrong. Maybe many people here would not like my words but I feel in past and present time, religion often had the effect of poison: only killing and dividing people.
That's why I ask why can we not leave all religion and just become Human? I don't want to be Hindu or Muslim or Christian, I just want to be Human. That's what God has created. Human is made by God and religion is made by man. And I believe God is not Hindu nor Muslim nor Christian.
God doesn't have a religion. So why I should be forced to believe in any particular religion? Because of my thoughts for this topic, many religious people may not like me. That's okay, I accept it because I believe my God likes me and doesn't have any religion, just like me.
Before I entered the cave in 1997 I had lived the traditional life of a guru. However my retreat in the cave for three years and 108 days changed a lot. It made me realize that we are all equal and that no human being should be higher or greater than the next. I don’t see myself as a guru or a master anymore. Our souls and our love is the one thing that universally makes us all the same.
Many times people get confused by my name or getup and think, if I am not a Guru, why do I have a 'Swami' in front of my name? I wrote a blog entry about that back in 2009 that can give you an answer to this question. Check it out here

Instead of devoting myself to religion, I devote my life to help poor children. We run a Charity school providing food and education to those who really need it.
