A trendy crowd flocks to this casual spot for seasonal grub & cocktails poured by mixologists.- Google
"Good cocktails, comfortable but upscale, coffee rubbed pork shoulder is amazing."
"The chicken liver mousse was unreal."

Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent service. I've been here three times and have left totally satisfied each time. On my last visit I had an absolutely perfectly cooked New York strip steak that I'm still thinking about.

A "dependable staple" on the "ever-changing Valencia Corridor", this longtime eatery showcases "outstanding" New American menus assembled with "seasonal ingredients" and paired with some of the “best drinks in town”; despite "smart hospitality" and a "lively" (often "loud") bar scene, regulars say it’s "one of the most underrated" restaurants in the Mission. Learn more about Range. What to order Pork shoulder Stuffed pasta Cocktails (pictured) Insider tip: Their early apéritif hour offers bites, glasses of sherry and $7 low-proof cocktails.

definitely a culinary experience that any San Franciscan needs to experience. This wasn't my first time but for sure it was a brand new menu. All the selections on the menu are carefully selected, organic and sourced locally, so fresh. The list of cocktails is also impressive, perfect for a happy hour followed by dinner. Getting hungry just thinking of it.

Yum. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Just ask for their recommendations or take a risk and just pick something.

Every time I go try a new 'highly rated' restaurant with my boyfriend, we ask ourselves "Was it as good as range?" Usually the answer is no. If anything, maybe a tie. Range is such a good restaurant that even though I have no idea what's on the menu right now (it's seasonal) I will recommend it to anyone. I just trust the chef completely. The front is a bar area, there's some seating in a narrow space across from the kitchen, and then a nice large back dining area. The decor is classy and modern -- not trying too hard at anything. I like to think that's because the food is the main event. The flavors in each dish are impeccably thought-out. The first time we went, we ordered a salad, two main entrees, and a dessert. Usually a salad is a "we should eat vegetables" affair, but not at Range: I took one bite and it was like an explosion of flavor in my mouth. All the dishes are so flavorful that it forces me to appreciate each bite. When food's that good, you don't even feel like you need a lot -- but Range doesn't skimp on portion sizes!

Solid Californian fare and ambiance. The food was good but didn't blow me away. We had the quail and albacore tar tar to start. The former was dark and gamey (and tiny), and the latter was fresh almost creamy. The pork shoulder was my favorite entree entree. The most memorable flavor of the meal was probably the nuts (roasted walnuts?) in the peanut butter chocolate dessert. The ambiance is fresh, clean, soft. Love the decor on the outside. Service was great.

Super interesting cocktails, perfect flavor combinations and a very knowledgeable staff makes this a great spot. The dining area in the back has a more formal feel than the bar at the front but it remains unpretentious.
