A little bit later than we expected but check our blog post about the 2016 in ITL. It is almost weekend and we are sure you can find 5 minutes.

This one is about our new service we launched in Q4 last year and also a major investment.

Next one will be a bit about Brexit, how it affects us and what we plan for the rest of 2017. So stay tuned.

The European Commission found evidence of severe dumping of GOES on the European Market. As a countermeasure, on Thursday, the Commission approved a proposal to impose Minimum Import Prices (MIPs) on Grain Oriented Electrical Steel.

Is it going to fix the high prices in Europe?

As a major UK transformer manufacturer we supply our metering and protection CTs & VTs to utility companies globally on a regular basis. It is in our best interest to know what is new in their market and industry.

As all of you know, lately “the talk” revolves around the Smart Grid(s). It is a great idea and has a lot of perks. Monitored electricity flow, better efficiency, reliability and hopefully lower prices for us customers in the long run.

As every great idea or innovation it comes with its risks. Even now, when the Smart Grid is still young, the danger of Cyber Attack is present. Have a read about an unlikely, but possible scenario.

The future of #energy  transmission in UK was started in Nottinghamshire. The first new design of pylon in almost 90 years should be less obtrusive to the landscape, offer a lot shorter installation time, and make it easier for engineers to do maintenance checks.

Because of its shape It is appropriately called the T-Pylon!

UK proposes 3 New Continental Interconnectors. Potentially built by 2020 they would boost energy flow which can lead to more grid stability, energy security and even lower prices for customers.

The "cap and floor" framework should encourage the development of the interconnectors.
