Two law professors have begun working on a textbook for a class they co-taught this spring focusing on the intersection of hip-hop music and the American Constitution.  The course, entitled Hip-Hop and the American Constitution, was simulcast to students at both Drexel and West Virginia law schools featured lectures, discussion, and a guest experience by hip-hop legend, Chuck D.

Focusing on issues such as criminal justice, First Amendment freedom of speech, and intellectual property, the class presents a unique look at American law through the eyes of hip-hop music.  The class presents students an opportunity to get involved in the law through a subject that speaks to their interests.
