How tastes change
Hope you're having a good weekend.   We took a lovely long walk along the beach front.  Did I say it was  a long walk? I've got blisters because I walked in boots instead of my Nike's and I don't really do trainers unless I'm doing exercise.  It was cold.  ...

When you rent - part two
We had a very non-valentines weekend …instead our weekend was
spent moving furniture from one room to the other.  Our Honeybee left in December so we did a big
clean out of her bedroom and at the same time moved our son’s room around.  He’s now got a double...

Friendships and bedrooms
Hello lovely people of the blogland, how are you all on this
beautiful grey and somewhat rainy Saturday?
You know the feeling when you've met up with an old friend you haven’t
seen in a long while, and when you’re all done, you think why did it take you

A little bedroom makeover
In December last year I started on a little long distance bedroom redesign. It's not a huge project, just doing a few tweaks here and there which will hopefully freshen up the entire space.   The challenge is the client is 12000km away, the budget is tight ...

Christmas Decorating
The tree is up, a real one.  We had this debate about whether to go faux
or real.  It was 3:1 for the faux, but I
won on the multiple benefits to having a real tree…the smell, the colour…but
truth be told, I wanted a real tree for Honeybee who is once again...

A beautiful photo, I've also been looking at a portrait lens for close ups....this lens looks like it does the job well...but I guess it's the photographer too!  Wonderful photos! Sharon
I received a new lens this week. 24-70 mm f/4.0 L. With a macro function. Had to try it on my baby. Here she is right after waking up. With morning hair. See the whole series HERE or follow the project on Facebook.

Thank you Sharon. To be honest I mainly got this lens because I needed a zoom, but the macro function is a nice little extra :-) I think the best real macro lens might be the 100 mm f/ 2.8L macro. Would love to have that one some day.

It’s so grey outside and I am in desperate need of a little
sunshine and Vitamin D.   I don’t like to
say it too loud, but SAD (seasonal effective disorder) is real and some people
get really depressed during winter.    My Honeybee
is one of them.   Fortuna...

Beautiful, I too believe photos should be printed, why else do we take them if not to gaze at them every now and then...love the new photo books....your photography looks beautiful.
I firmly believe that photographs should be printed instead of just being kept inside a computer. Sure, digital photos are practical to have. They are accessible no matter where you are and easy to show to friends and family...

Wild Wreath making
Hello lovely people, I haven't managed to blog very often this last month.  So how's your Christmas prep list going? Do you have
your Christmas tree all tinselled and baubled up yet?  I confess I haven’t! This year I can’t decide
between buying a real tree ...
