Refreshing for Spring
Happy 1st of April lovely people!  Our money has to go a long way
nowadays,  we've got holidays to plan
for, clothing budgets, in-case-the-geyser-breaks budget, the list is
endless…and usually no budget to update your home.  And as we've just entered spring...

Weekend Roaming in Hastings
What happened to Spring? Despite the cold, my bulbs are
tentatively starting to surface and reach for the sunshine.  Early Saturday morning we found ourselves driving to Hastings, a mere 2 hour drive from where we live.    Hastings Old Town has long been an...

How tastes change
Hope you're having a good weekend.   We took a lovely long walk along the beach front.  Did I say it was  a long walk? I've got blisters because I walked in boots instead of my Nike's and I don't really do trainers unless I'm doing exercise.  It was cold.  ...

When you rent - part two
We had a very non-valentines weekend …instead our weekend was
spent moving furniture from one room to the other.  Our Honeybee left in December so we did a big
clean out of her bedroom and at the same time moved our son’s room around.  He’s now got a double...

Friendships and bedrooms
Hello lovely people of the blogland, how are you all on this
beautiful grey and somewhat rainy Saturday?
You know the feeling when you've met up with an old friend you haven’t
seen in a long while, and when you’re all done, you think why did it take you

Lovely photos, thanks for sharing and thank you for your recent email regarding staying in Florence, much appreciated.
Happy Easter! Sharon
I'm crazy behind with sharing photos on this blog. I still have tons of material from Copenhagen which I still need to edit.  Tonight I want to share some more favorites from my collaboration with The Florentine and their ...

Bedroom Update
This is a funny time of year….Spring
has officially arrived, but it’s still cold…yesterday we had a sudden and
unexpected hail storm lasting about 10 minutes, leaving everywhere covered with
ice, the size of peas.  This morning the skies
were clear and blue...

And so to bed
Just to let you know Peter Rabbit
is alive and doing well.  I was making a
cup of tea when I spied him outside munching my fake lawn, which didn’t go down
too well.  He soon hopped over to my daffodils
and started nibbling the heads off.   After my initial ...

A beautiful photo, I've also been looking at a portrait lens for close ups....this lens looks like it does the job well...but I guess it's the photographer too!  Wonderful photos! Sharon
I received a new lens this week. 24-70 mm f/4.0 L. With a macro function. Had to try it on my baby. Here she is right after waking up. With morning hair. See the whole series HERE or follow the project on Facebook.

Thank you Sharon. To be honest I mainly got this lens because I needed a zoom, but the macro function is a nice little extra :-) I think the best real macro lens might be the 100 mm f/ 2.8L macro. Would love to have that one some day.

It’s so grey outside and I am in desperate need of a little
sunshine and Vitamin D.   I don’t like to
say it too loud, but SAD (seasonal effective disorder) is real and some people
get really depressed during winter.    My Honeybee
is one of them.   Fortuna...

Beautiful, I too believe photos should be printed, why else do we take them if not to gaze at them every now and then...love the new photo books....your photography looks beautiful.
I firmly believe that photographs should be printed instead of just being kept inside a computer. Sure, digital photos are practical to have. They are accessible no matter where you are and easy to show to friends and family...
