I've just blogged about Sony's new flagship camera the SLT-A99. I've been shooting with it for a few weeks now and have been seriously impressed.

I am seriously considering this camera.
How are the lenses?
David, it appears to be a great camera. I wonder if the almost $3,000 price tag will make it a hard sell when one can get a Nikon D600 (for instance) with similar specs, perhaps the same sensor, and the full complement of Nikon lenses and accessories for less and the D800 for about the same price. I guess that is one of the major hurdles of a manufacturer trying to compete with the big 2. Personally, I hope Sony and the rest continue to push Nikon & Canon.
+sean conley, I've only shot with four lenses so far - the Zeiss 16-35 f/2.8, 24-70 f/2.8, and 85 f/1.8, and the Sony 70-200 G - and they're definitely comparable to the Canon L equivalents.
+Mylan Dawson, yep, I suspect they'll have a bit of an uphill struggle, but a) it's definitely a great camera, and b) some competition for Canon and Nikon can only be a good thing :)
