As the photo shows, President Obama kept his cool. As for Michelle Obama, she seems to be looking on in sympathy.
It’s awkward enough when your toddler goes into meltdown mode in a crowded store or on an airplane. But what do you do when the crying fit happens in the White House in front of the President and First Lady of the United States? That’s what the Moser family had to figure out when daughter Claudia had a full-tilt tantrum as the family was preparing for a Passover Seder with the Obamas this past April.

Oh, you're running a 10-miler this weekend? That's sooooooooo interesting. Everything about running is stupid.

This was our first plumbing repair. A leaky faucet that had needed repair for quite a while. But, my husband and I were always thinking it would be a service of at least $500+. I was pleasantly surprised to have my Kitchen faucet and some connectors underneath fixed for less than $300. Kevin, our repairman was friendly, explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner, fixed the repair at the time he came to take a look (there was no, "I will have to order parts and see you in a few days") he was fast and did a great job. I will use Kevin at 919 plumbing again. Also, this was a same day repair. I called mid morning and they were at my house by that afternoon.

This August 2014 I have started my 2nd child at Time to Shine Preschool. My daughter loves it and I love it. Her confidence has soared in the short 2 weeks since she has started. My son who has now completed Kindergarten was also a student of Time to Shine, he started there when the school first opened, he was in the threes program and he also completed the fours/pre-K program. The threes program for my son was good, he worked on letters, numbers, all the normal three year old stuff and our biggest feat was practicing the handwriting and coloring in the lines. All of which he mastered by the end of the three's. The Pre-K program is where we really saw how well this program prepares your child for kindergarten. My son was reading sight words and early reader books as well as adding and subtracting, add to that the number recognition and writing his name. Following the kindergarten assessment, his kindergarten teacher reflected that he was well prepared, beyond what was even expected of him at the start of kindergarten. My son was just turning 5 when kindergarten was starting so my husband and I had decided early on that we would hold him back and let him complete another year of Pre-K. However, after having a conference with his Pre-K teacher at Time to Shine and seeing his progress, we decided to let him start kindergarten and see how things went. We couldn't have been more pleased. Even though he was one of the youngest in his class and extremely shy, he was so well prepared for school that he gained a lot of confidence already knowing so much of what was being taught the first half of kindergarten. The teachers at Time to Shine had also offered to tailor an academic program for my son, in case he started kindergarten and couldn't hack it emotionally. They would do a sort of transition class for him, as they had done in the past for another student in the same situation. That way he wasn't just reviewing what he had already learned. Fortunately, we didn't have to do that. But that is another great attraction with this school, the individualized learning. Yes, it is a school, the kids are going to learn as a group, but at least in the Pre-K program the learning is tailored to your child's level. That is what I experienced for my son. After having this experience with our son, we wouldn't have chosen a different preschool for our daughter. Aside from the academics, I love bright, cheerful rooms, it is a wonderful place for kids to learn. The teachers and director make you feel like you are part of a big family. I can't say enough good things!
