A Pastry Fail Yielding Tasty Italian Cookies
I have been craving Cannoli's pretty much since I was in Boston last April, I did manage to get my hands on one good one over the Christmas Holidays, but they are definitely on my Italian baking bucket list. However, I need to get a set of the little metal ...

The first day of Spring
For some reason I always think spring begins on the 21st.... a quick google search reveals I'm not the only one who is confused. And apparently for good reason. Spring it would seem, is determined by the vernal equinox , which can fall anytime between March...

Rocky Mountain Winter Road Trips
Every other weekend for the past month and a half, we've packed our bags, and hit Highway 1 heading West. With the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains ahead of us, and a case or two of beer in the trunk for consumption upon arrival, it really doesn't get any...

20 something bloggers bootleg awards
I am a 20-something blogger. This means two things to me, 1) I'm in my 20's and I blog, as of this month I'm also over the 25 hump and on my way to 30...but that's the topic of another post. 2) I'm a member of the 20-something bloggers community. So what do...

I love your rant at the end of this post! Great nails... I really should get mine done (or at least paint them myself), also I totally thought your flowers were somehow inside the bag of lays in that first picture! BTW that flavour sounds amazing!
I just want to start by wishing you all a belated Valentine's Day!!  I hope you all had a lovely day loving yourselves and of course, covering yourselves in polish!  The boyfriend went out to get me flowers and, no teasing, m...

+Sara Turner thank you!!  I was a bit hesitant to post it at first because I felt I was just kind of rambling.  Also, lays flowers would be delicious. You should definitely check the flavor out.  When Lays was voting on three new flavors this is the one that won!!  If you do your nails, I want to see them for sure.  <3

Knitting Corner: Knit One Squirrel Two
I adore hand making knitted and crocheted gifts for people. So last month, for Valentines day, I got to work on this little project as a gift for Kevin. Apparently I am often squirrely, so it seemed most appropriate. The pattern, found as per usual on Ravel...

Women and their books (or how one day I'll write my own)
I just started and finished reading the Bloggess ' biography " Let's pretend this never happened (A mostly true memoir) ", as as per usual (when I read an entertaining biography) I say to myself I wish I could write a memoir! Although likely it would be pre...

A skating GIF from Lake Louise
This weekend Kevin played in the Lake Louise Pond Hockey Classic , with his team Puck Dynasty. I of course tailed along and took a tonne of pictures, ok only 229 of them, but still a lot for 3 days! While I'll get some of them up on the blog later this week...

Burning bridges is a tough go, and sometimes you have to...more difficult is when you need to burn only part, for instance with a colleague who was also a friend but caused you a lot of hurt and dread about being a work... it's difficult to burn the expectation of friendship while still remaining civil at work. But there can be a lot of relief in doing it! Great post!
This past week, as I was dinging around on the internet and twitter, I came across a wonderful article called "Burn Baby Burn: When to Burn Bridges" written by a fellow hockey wife on Notable.ca. The article is accessible her...
