Adrian Garcia owes the people of Harris County an explanation about why he failed in his most fundamental duty to bring the criminals to justice. And he owes an apology to the 1,400 rape victims that saw no justice. http://bit.ly/1OyfLZI

Eric Berger of the Houston Chronicle: "I don't have a stake in the Houston mayoral race, but 10 years ago @BillKingForHou sure nailed it on hurricanes."

Today is a day to mourn the lives lost on 9/11. But it's also a day to celebrate courage, strength, hope and unity. We will never forget.

If you support Bill King, we need your help. Please share this link (http://bit.ly/1LIZHRr) on social media and email it to friends and neighbors. Let them know that you are backing Bill King for Mayor because he is the right candidate to bring the bold, new leadership this City needs. Tell them that Bill King has the right mix of business and government experience to get Houston "Back To Basics" and fix our streets, catch the crooks, and balance the budget.

This graph shows the amount of taxpayer dollars — your money — that City Hall is investing in our streets, sidewalks, drainage and other infrastructure. It clearly shows that before the Rebuild Houston program was launched, the average increase in City funds was 5.8% per year. But since the program was launched, that has fallen dramatically to just a 0.45% increase in funds per year.

Put another way, the City’s average investment in streets and drainage before Rebuild Houston was over 10 times higher. Folks, it doesn’t get much clearer than this. This is why we need new leadership at City Hall. This is why we must get City Hall back to basics.
