+Private Property  Why must it be either or, why can't it be both?

A recently graduated young professional in their early 20's can buy a 2 - 3 bedroom, stay in one and rent out the other 2. Often at this age sharing is not an issue, in fact its preferred due to the social benefits.

Alternatively buy a free stand,  a or some cottages with separate entrances and a common area. Design it well enough you'll still have a private exclusive space away from the tenants. Apart from the financial benefits the added people in the property enhance security, a complex in a private stand.

Either option chosen could half or even eradicate your bond payment with the tenants income covering everything.
Experts say you should get on the property ladder as soon as possible. But, should you buy a family home or an investment property first?

There's many words I can use to describe this place but serenity and perfection are the 2 that come to mind. If you love the calm of water, the beauty of nature and the escape from the city the look no further. The dam is good for fishing and behind you the vegetation and trees just make this one of the most beautiful dams I've ever visited. For the campers there's electrified and none electrified sites all costing just under R100. The ablution facilities are also clean and well maintained but be sure to bring a long extention because the distance between the plug and and campsites is a bit of a stretch. Overall, beautiful place that's well looked after and the locals around the area are very nice.

If you're in Mpumalanga you can't miss this adrenaline pumping jump. The jump is as thrilling ( if not more ) as Oribi Gorge down in KZN. What complements the fun is the friendly host/ owner, professional team and beautiful natural scenery. Be prepared to walk though because the way up is through a seemingly never ending flight of stairs which I'm told are in excess of 400!

Your visit to Mafikeng is not complete if you miss this, especially for the nature lovers. Whether you're are a day visitor or brave enough to pitch a tent you will not be disappointed. There's picnic and braai facilities for the day visitors and the probability of spotting a Giraffe is very high as they roam free, together with other animals. For the campers this place does not get crowded so you really get to escape the noise. Be warned though that the campsite is not fenced so chances of encounters with the animals are always an iminent reality. The facilities were satisfactory with electrically heated water and in close proximityv to the campsites. I must however admit the route to the reserve passed a dump which I found very disturbing but otherwise once within the reserve I was pleased.

If you love the outdoors, fishing and nature in general you have to visit this place. The dam is beautiful and it has wild life be it Hippos or Rhino to mention a few. The way fish bite here you can afford to go camping with no food and literally live off them. The campsite is well maintained with braai facilities, ablutions with gas heated water and most importantly well fenced to ensure boundaries are respected between yourself and the animals. The campsites are very well priced as well costing under R100 and there's so many attractions close by including the Big Swing which I found exhilarating as well as God's window just to mention a few. Top it all with friendly people and you are sure to have a good time.

This dam is huge and the scenery picturesque. Very nice housed accommodation and open space for camping. Best camping sites are without electricity and the ones with electrcity need a special plug as used by caravans. Ablution facilities for campers are relatively clean with hot water but can do with a bit of grass cutting around. Overall as a camper I loved this place to bits, less restrictive than private camping sites.
