Professional Singer Songwriter and Entertainer Angela Cole Aka Elvisgurl paying tribute to Elvis Presley The King of Rock n Roll. TCB TLC :)
I have been singing since age 7 and my vocal training was in high school choir/show choir, I sing by ear, and I do write songs as well. My family was also singers and formed a group called The Brock's (Brock Brother's) singing bluegrass music and they performed on the Grand Ole Opry two times in the 1970's, then cut a record called The Brock's. At the time Rock N Roll was popular and bluegrass music and country took a back seat, I am proud of them and my roots.
I love Elvis Presley's music, and the old school sounds of the past. I am hoping to bring back those older sounds that a lot of people miss so much. Elvis Presley has had such an influence on me growing up and my grandparents getting me into singing from a young age, when I sing, I sing from the heart and soul, music will always be a big part of who I am. I want to make the audience happy and bring back wonderful memories of the past and make new memories for others when I sing. I give 110% on every performance and it's like a NEW crowd everytime, no matter if I have played for that place two times or two thousand.
I sang professionally in Hilton Head, SC for may events, political officials (including the Governor of SC), Charities & Benefits, Good Sam's Club Member Event, Palmetto Theater, The Prestigious Sea Pines Country Club, Performed for Rusty Mead CEO/Heir to the Mead paper Corporation for his personal birthday party, and many other celebrities on Hilton Head Island, Churches, Weddings and, Private Parties. I traveled many states and did a lot of shows.
I sing a variety of artists from that Motown sound, Traditional Country, Newer Country, Blues, Soul, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Rock, and even Elvis Presley's Music. Thanks for taking the time to listen. TCB.
Some more history and where my roots came from, my family is from the backwoods of Kentucky and Tennessee. My Uncle Carlos Brock was just inducted into the bluegrass hall of fame for all his musical talent and he was also one of the members of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass boys as a guitar player, he has an amazing vocal range and wonderful voice, he was at one time signed with RCA records in the mid 1950's forming a group called the Country Pardner's and making a popular hit "Another Old Dog in the Race", They had the unfortunate news that the group had been beaten to the question by both Red Sovine and Webb Pierce, both of whom had versions of "Why Baby Why" ready to be released. The group did record four songs other for RCA including the aforementioned canine choral. He helped Sonny Osborne a good friend get started in the business, he worked with Marty Robbins, Bill Monroe, and Chet Adkins back in the good ole days.
Again thanks for stopping by, looking for qualified management and getting ready to release my first demo this year and I plan to further my music career.
