In for breakfast on Sunday. Had the Bloody was the perfect level of spicy for Sunday morning. Also ordered the Eggs Benedict. The ham wasn't smoky enough to match the sauce, but it was otherwise delicious. The service was excellent and the setting delightful. Highly recommend.

Fantastic bar and atmosphere! The burger was meh, but the fries were good.

Who wouldn't want to hang out surrounded by books and scotch? The food is amazing, too.

Nice location. Great chowder, refreshing beer and charming service. Second visit just as pleasant an experience. Will go again.

A most knowledgeable staff and great choices for dinner or drinks. I recommend the foxhound.

Bookstore is the bar at Alexis Hotel and is a great place to enjoy an after-work drink and a few minutes to recharge after a tough day. The bar is small but accommodating and has fantastic Happy Hour Specials. They have one of the best bourbon and Scotch collections I’ve ever seen at any bar and the food is also excellent (try the clam chowder) and very well priced. As an out-of-towner in Seattle on business, the bartenders and servers were more than happy to give recommendations on local hot spots, dining, and things to do. If you’re ever in Seattle for any reason, do yourself a favor and have a drink here, I’m positive you won’t regret it, and you’ll learn very quickly why this bar is among the best.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place about a month ago and I've been a fan ever since! The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, not overwhelmingly loud. The cocktail I got here (Brazilian 91?) was really good. The second time I went, I just barely missed their happy hour, but I tried their food. The calamari steak fries were okay, not fantastic. We ordered bleu fries too-- but we waited for over 45 minutes before flagging the waitress over again. She had forgotten to put our order into the system and immediately offered it as on the house for making us wait, which was awesome of them! Definitely will be back.
