== Keeping Those Roosters Quiet ==

I live in an urban environment. So whilst I love my roosters, I have to be very aware of the sound they're making - even more so in the early morning. As a way to stop that 4am crowing, I use sleep boxes, so I thought I'd make a little video on what I do. Hopefully it means people might think twice before rehoming their cockerels and give this a chance first.

== Potting on Buddleia and Dealing with Spider Mite! ==

My buddleia cuttings have come on really well and it's time to separate them into individual pots. HOWEVER, we have a small spider mite infestation, so I need to deal with those critters first.

== UPDATE ON PLANT CUTTINGS ==

I was thinking about some inspiration from Mother Nature at the start of the week and it got me contemplating the amazing biology of plants. Taking cuttings for example; cut a plant in half and BOTH bits grow!

So today's video is an update on the buddleia, pelargonium and rosemary cuttings. :D

== SAVING SUNFLOWER SEEDS ==

I've never been a huge sunflower grower, but this year, in a bid to grow some cutting flowers, I popped several plants in. Well, I've just realised that I've got all these lovely seeds to harvest too! Bonus!

Will be using these in a variety of ways - I'm excited to see how many I get from these few plants. Will definitely be doing this again next year.

== EUPHORBIA'S - FABULOUS FOLIAGE ==

This week it's the little, often forgotten about Euphorbia that's lifting me spirits and really looking great in the garden. Look at this plant - isn't it wonderful?!

This week's Chicken Check-In is here and we're back in my home county of Essex to see Amy. She has four rescue hens, a lovely coop and a lot of home-made chicken bunting!

== FREE Penstemon Plants ==

Summer's a great time for taking semi-ripe cuttings, particularly from plants that might not make it through the winter. I realised all my shrubs have grown LOADS so I decided it was time to take some penstemon cuttings.

== Thornless Blackberries! ==

I've just discovered the joys of thornless blackberries! I always thought of these fruits as something to forage from hedgerows and the farm, but due to picking more and more as part of my bid to make lots of preserves, I was getting severely prickled.

Now I've discovered thornless cultivars!! I'm thrilled.
