Best burger I've ever eaten in my life. The special tonight was a burger with Spurbecks Extra Sharp Cheese, Grilled Green Tomatoes, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, and a Maple Glaze Drizzle. It was perfect. The Red Potato Salad is fabulous. The Garlic Pesto Fries are out of this world. They also serve some wine as well, I had the Pinot Grigio which was very good. Inexpensive food with great service. If you visit, you need to visit Council Rock Brewery!

I was in Cooperstown for a concert and stopped here as a lunch recommendation from a local bartender that said they had really good burgers (and the place I was at didn't have food). If not for that, I would never have heard of Council Rock Brewery. The place is tiny, but my wife and I were able to get two seats at the bar despite the crowd. The staff was a little friendly but also a bit short - it did seem like an exceptionally busy day. It took a while for them to take our orders for drinks and food, and the wait for the food was even longer, although it was worth it. My sandwich was good, but my wife's Brie Burger was to die for. Highly recommended. The beers are pretty decent. Not much wowed me out of the 10-beer sampler, but I'd categorize most of them as "good". My favorite was the Sunken Island Scotch Ale. It was quite delicious. Overall I'd recommend Council Rock for good beer and excellent burgers. Just be prepared to wait a little bit.

One of my favorite spots near Cooperstown. Aside from Ommegang, this is the best beer and food in the area in my opinion. I have no idea why they aren't on the beverage trail because they have some really good stuff. The fish tacos are the best I've ever had. We got the "fleet" of beers which is a tasting of everything on tap.

Great food and good service. They cautioned us the food may take a while and it did but it was worth the wait. You will regret it if you don't get the garlic pesto fries and the dipping sauce. The beer selection was great.

Delicious food, well cooked and very reasonably priced. It was easy to see why it was recommended to us by our hotel staff. So good!

No KIDS MENU. NO FREE REFILLS . No milk for kids. Ordered grilled chicken plain for my son 8 year old son and it came with spices all over it. He ate one bite and didnt want the rest. Asked for another diet coke and Sprite and was never told there are no free refills. It doesnt say it on the menu. Then they said they were out of to go cups. We asked to speak to a manager and was given a can of Diet Coke and Sprite no manager came out. It is obvious that are trying to take advantage of visitors. They can do what they want, but they should be sneaky about it. They did disclose it cost $1 extra for any sauce.
