Definitely WON'T be back. After waiting almost 1 1/2 hours for our food & having half of it warm & half of it cool from sitting, I remember why I haven't been back in the past 7+ years. Not only was the food just ok, but the service sucked as well. And it wasn't overly crowded. They certainly have plenty of staff wandering around. The only reason I can see for their continued crowd is the cheap prices & the nice outdoor seating. Probably great for a drunk bar crowd.

Okay, at first I thought this place was going to be an overly commercialized tasteless chain restaurant, boy was I WRONG! Their food was amazing and I'm a foodie always looking for the best new hole-in-the-wall place to eat. Each portion of food had its own unique flavor and texture - all excellently done. Their Crab Mac & Cheese and Jamaican Greens sides are to die for. The Crispy Coconut Shrimp and Island Seafood Platter...WOW! Prices are okay, a bit on the high side, but you get so much food. We all had doggy bags to go . The staff was friendly, attentive and my orders came out super fast. Oh..... Let me not forget to mention their Mama Maria's Muffins...SINFULLY worth it!

We had our first and only experience this weekend. My wife and I won't try visiting the restaurant again. The food may well be great, but the attitude we met with kept us from staying. Parking is limited. While searching for a place to park, we spoke with the attending Valet. He was so rude to us, my wife actually told him to stop being a smart " blank ". She never talks like that. We've been married almost 35 years, and she doesn't respond like that. He was so rude she said she didn't even want to try the restaurant. We figure if he is representative of the employees attitude and manner; we didn't need to stay and experience any further disrespect. We drove on down to the Marina and ate at Crabby Bills. Despite the name, Crabby Bills was great. The food was great and our waitress, Melissa, was awesome. We told her we were headed to a concert at the Capitol Theater and needed to watch our time. She got us our food quickly, attended to us and got the check for us so we could leave when we were done. Awesome food and awesome attitude! That is what we did not find at Rumba Island.

Loved this place, will definitely be back!!!! We got there around 7:30pm on a Sunday evening. We were seated promptly and almost immediately greeted by our server Justin. He was amazing! The food came out hot and was delicious..we had the jerk wings for appetizer and they were perfect, not to spicy yet full of flavor. The live music was awesome, overall vibe of is beyond great. Can't wait to be back.

I love this place! I eat here every time I'm in Clearwatet. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and it has a wonderful ambiance. The lobster mac & cheese is to die for! I had a trio that included wings, ribs and butterfly shrimp. My favorite was the ribs. They have wonderful fish and often have two for one drinks.
