For the record, I did not meet with or speak to the #Russian Ambasador during the #campaign. Apparently, everyone else did. #RussianAmb

Just witnessed a #refugee family, including a little baby being carried, walk, yes walk in freezing temperature into #Canada, at the Saint Bernard de Lacolle, Quebec crossing, to seek #Asylum. They are fleeing the USA in search of refuge in Canada. Never thought I'd see the day. I understand that this is going on all across our northern border. I thought Lady Liberty in the harbor stood for something. I hope real soon we restore her luster.

The injury suffered by soldiers who were psychically overloaded by the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of war was called by the U.S. Government in #WWI "#ShellShock"; in #WWII "#BattleFatigue"; in #Korea "#OperationalExhaustion"; in #Vietnam "#PostTraumaticStressDisorder", and later simply #PTSD.
Notice how the government has sanitized the language since #WWII. Notice how #PTSD is a phrase that has no overt connection to War. This was no accident. This sanitizing was designed to minimize the injury; to render it non-specific; to disengage and disconnect the injury from government action. Thereby, making it easier and easier to reject the claims of veterans suffering from the injury. We the U.S. Citizenry, who owe a debt to those who have served in battle, should no longer accept the term #PTSD and strongly urge our government to revert instead to the term first used in 1915, to wit; #ShellShock. Let's call it what it is, and more importantly, get those suffering from #ShellShock the help and government services they need.
