This is one of Butch's favorite festivals. If you love daffodils, this is the place to go.

Expat Cat Treks Globe and Shares Adventures

Nita Risher McGlawn, writer/ illustrator, shares the adventures of Butch, her adopted Sumatran cat. Witty prose and winsome watercolor illustrations bring Butch and his travels to life.

Birmingham, AL, January 28, 2014 –– Kickstarter project, BUTCH THE TRAVELING EXPAT CAT, launches bucket list wish for Nita Risher McGlawn, writer/illustrator.

Living overseas can be daunting, but this expat cat makes it palatable, fun, and interesting. Butch shares adventures with his family as they move about. Global cultures and facts are explored on a child’s level.

Featured cultures are: Indonesia, Oman, Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana. Colorful watercolor illustrations create a child-friendly format. Unfamiliar words are phonetically broken down so that the reader can “sound it out.” Butch whimsically photobombs the illustrations, sharing insightful information via thought clouds.

Nita Risher McGlawn (MEd, Art Education), author/illustrator/educator, combines her global sojourns, writing skills, experience as a graphic artist and educator, and love for felines, to create fun, adventurous reading for children.

Butch is still wearing his Lincoln get up. Some say he looks more like Snidely Whiplash. ;-)
