I miss a lot this park. You can spend a lot of time in the park. Everywhere green and many people around. All Free!!!!! watch the rollerskaters, Swimming lessons, swinging children, old people walking along, would be mother going for a stroll. Watch the beautiful cars passing by. Hear the train's whistle. Kind and courteous office bearers. Some playing basket ball. A party going in full swing. Big tall trees here and there.Big black squirrels running here and there and climbing the trees. the dog lovers with their pets.I miss the garden very much.

I grew up in Mountain view in the 1960's and early 1970's, and lived at Rengstorff and San Luis in a house built by my grandpa, and it is still there. My siblings and I used to go swimming at the pool when we were kids. It was a lot of fun to swim, swing and play at the park. During Halloween, there was a Haunted House at the Community Center and I remember getting the life scared out of me! It was a blast. What a flashback when I saw the photo of the fire pit. It was in this fire pit area that my Girl Scout troop had the bridging ceremony from a Brownie to a Junior. Great memories at the Rengstorff Park and Pool. It looks the city has done a great job keeping the area beautiful.

Proximity to train tracks is a plus for young toddlers who are always fascinated by trains. Far enough from the busy main roads nearby, never had problem, but do be aware of that if you have a runner. Community center nearby has free wifi and air-conditioned lobby with a few chairs. The sand pit is super excellent in the summer for kids who like to get dirty! Lots of water flowing usually, and always a good number of kids around who are digging and damming! The concrete slide frequently has old cardboards lying around for the kids to partake. A very diverse community.

One of the most fully-equipped city parks I've ever been to. Wide variety of activities, from a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a skate park. Basketball court, tons of playgrounds, softball field, etc. It goes on. Lots of awesome open space. Only nit is that it's so close to the Caltrain tracks.
