A massive fire has engulfed an oil depot near Kiev, Ukraine.

200 firefighters are battling to bring the blaze under control amid fears it could spread to an adjacent depot.

The inferno, which has raged for two days, started in one fuel tank and has spread to at least 16 others.

At least eight petrol storage tanks with a total capacity of up to 900 cubic metres are ablaze.

FireVu, part of of AD Group’s surveillance solution arm AD Network Video, is featured in this month's AD Group news round-up. FireVu national sales consultant Rob Turner was recently featured in an article for Museums and Heritage Advisor explaining the benefits of using VSD to provide early fire detection for heritage buildings.
