We went this week with our two grandsons and had a great time. The shell factory is huge and has all of the tourist stuff you might want. The nature park was fabulous! It was really hot and humid but we still spent a few hours there. The best part is the walk in 'caged' area where there is a stream with fish and turtles, huge tortoise, several large lizards, (they are really laid back and let the kids touch them), peacocks that are not only beautiful but let out as occasional yell, lots of birds... Could hardly get the boys out of there. The restaurant was under construction, but open and we had a pretty good, affordable lunch. Great day, and would definitely go back. Carol

The last time this place looked good is when they opened in 1960. It is old, worn out, tired and cheesy. Anyone who says this place is good is clueless. Not worth the gas money to get there. It should be closed.

Had a great time! The nature park was a lot of fun, you can feed birds and there is a petting zoo. The stores had tons of beautiful shells. Lots of really cool handmade items for sale. I will definitely be back again.

Went to the Shell Factory a few weeks ago with family. The Nature Park is GREAT. In general, it is worn out, but it is worth going JUST to see the animals (it's a new part of the place.) Nature park has geese, bobcats, raccoon, parrots, peacocks, a zebra, cows, goats, coaties, wallabies (one of which has a baby), a camel, some llamas, alligators, snakes, turtles, lizards, etc. You can feed the birds, cow, and goats.
