It’s been pretty darn silent and the end of September is fast approaching. Any word on the Kickstarter?

My son and I started an Avatar: The Last Airbender rewatch. We both really love that show.

So I started to think of how to turn it into a game. Of course I turn to Cortex Prime these days. This is what I’ve come up with so far.

I wanted to use the elements as the attributes. I’m having a little trouble assigning what they do but I think it’s workable.

For distinctions, I’m using the Four Nations, roles, and a personality trait. The Four Nations determine whether a character is a bender, as shown in the attached document.

Along with bending, I want to have martial arts have special powers as some of the non-bender martial artists were able to do some amazing things, like chi blocking.

Bending rolls would also be associated with their element.

Please take a look. Any comments would be great.

Guest Post: On Dice Mechanics and Over the Edge

Just cross posting my thoughts on my first game of Dusk City Outlaws. Perhaps some folks might have suggestions for the challenges that I faced.
Summer has really hurt my group’s gaming schedule. Several of my group teach summer classes. Then there’s vacations and other events. It’s been tough. Since the summer started, I’ve gotten to game exactly once. That was in a playtest of a game two people…

I posted this in the DCO community but wanted to get input from the Roll20 community as well.
I’m planning on running DCO as a back-up game for my regular group when everyone isn’t available for our regular campaign.

We usually play over Roll20. I was trying to come up with a tabletop image of a wooden table with a wooden bowl to “place” the heat tokens and a gold platter for the influence tokens. Then the rest of the table could be used for pictures or maps.

Has anyone done something similar? Anyone have any resources for that that they’d be willing to share?

And now my copy of The Fall Of Delta Green has arrived. The Star are right.

And I’m happy to have been a playtester.
