Hello +Orrin Hatch , I note this week that you are busy at work for corporate interests by expanding the h1-b program which everyone in the industry knows and has experienced is actually just a program to outsource work away from Americans.

As a long time Republican I have to wonder is there no end to such traitorous behavior in my party?

The recommendations I submitted are the result of numerous meetings and conversations I had with Utahns across the state who share his commitment to cutting government spending. Additionally, the recommendations incorporate many of the ideas I received from more than 7,500 emails and phone calls from Utahns after I solicited their ideas at the end of the September.

+1 for creativity by a Senator!

We get questions all the time about why people can't send messages via POPVOX to legislators who do not represent them. There are many reasons (including that it is a professional courtesy among Members to only process and respond to their constituents.).

This example from Senator Hatch is how things work in the best of cases -- not just for the Super Committee, but ALL committees. A Rep or Senator hears from constituents and takes their case to to committee or caucus leadership. That's why at POPVOX www.popvox.com, we verify your state and congressional district and send your message to YOUR legislators and provide a public report of what your legislators are hearing.

‎11th hour surprise visit from Salazar tomorrow on wilderness designation in Moab (he announced it only yesterday). Make sure your voice is heard, Utah has given up enough land for wilderness! Be sure you are there, it's vital that he hears from Utahns.

The Free Trade Agreements will increase U.S. exports by over $12 billion and grow the U.S. economy by more than $14 billion. Even the White House has said that the agreements will create 250,000 American jobs. The President should send them to Congress for a vote.

This month was the first time since World War II that the economy had a net zero jobs created for a month.

I agree that net zero is better then negative but the wider point is that our economy is struggling.

I am proud to be one of only 13 US Senators to be on Google+. I believe technology is vital to communicating with the people.

Senator, Are you proud to have been one of 12 republican senators to have voted for a budget that cuts pension benefits for disabled and retired veterans?

Senator Hatch it takes no courage to vote for a budget that cuts pension benefits for disabled and retired veterans. There is nothing courageous about that at all sir.

GOP Senators and I wrote to President Obama. All that remains for the Free Trade Agreements to be successfully considered is for him to submit them to Congress, he should act.

Story
Introduction
My priorities as a U.S. Senator:

  • Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution—Congress should to do what Americans do every day, live within its means.
  • Fight to bring fiscal sanity to Washington.
  • Repeal ObamaCare.
  • Cut spending, the Utah way—without raising taxes.
  • Reform the burdensome tax code and get the IRS off the backs of families and small businesses.
  • Reform Medicare and Social Security to prevent it from bankrupting this country and ensure that it will be solvent for future generations.
  • Continue to bring Utah values and the Utah way to Washington—pro-family, pro-business, low taxes, small government and living within our means.
  • Defend Utah's right to develop our land and resources the way WE want them developed—without meddling from radical environmentalists.
