Indique is an upscale Indian Restaurant serving modern Indian cuisine. Since opening in 2002, Indique, coined by the marriage of India and Unique, has strived to redefine Indian dining in the district. A fixture in the historic Cleveland Park neighborhood, the restaurant sits in a beautiful two-story space filled with bold colors, rich fabric, and white marble railings. True to its mantra of Unique Indian Flavors, the diverse kitchen features modern twists on classical fare from the North and South, an array of small plates, street snacks, regional dishes, variety of seafood, and vegetarian dishes. Indique offers a full bar, signature cocktails like the Tamarind Margarita and Kokum Martini and wines carefully selected by the glass to go with your meal.

My favorite Indian restaurant in DC. Amazing mix of both traditional Indian dishes and modern twists. Try the Bhel Puri as an appetizer. Great cocktail menu with unique flavors from Indian spices, like fenugreek and curry leaves. The building is decorated beautifully. Overall great experience, I'll definitely be going back!

Indique is absolutely the best Indian food in the DC area. If you add that to the decor and service, it's one of my favorite spots for a group friends or a date. Here's a tip: go for the outdoor seating on the balcony if you can get it. On a nice night it's a beautiful way to find!

Decent food. We had a paneer appetizer that could have been better cooked and was lukewarm. Okra dish was good albeit a little overcooked. Kulcha and paratha were good. Shreekhand was ok. All in all, good presentation, ok decor (bathroom soap was watered down by the way), and decent Indian food. Would come back if I lived in the area, but not as a tourist.

Delicious!! My favorite indian spot in DC - a perfect mix of tasty traditional indian foods, south indian specialties and more modern takes like achari tacos, salmon sliders, and mussels. Also great for cocktails. Wonderful service!!

I absolutely adore Indian food, and this is my absolute go-to spot in the city. One of the few places that has authentic Indian cooking, and they do a really neat combo of dishes from both North and South India, as well as some dishes you don't usually see at Indian restaurants. My favorites are the Masala Grilled Cod, and the Veggie Samosa. Oh, and the Mango Flan for dessert is bomb. Love the cozy little bar area, and would recommend grabbing a table in there. Bottom line - If you're looking for an awesome Indian meal at a reasonable price, Indique is the move.
