Delicious, excellent quality and management through the years. Frankly, I find this restaurant virtue more important than how good a restaurant is when new. Try the Baingan Bhartha. Its very yummy. It is as hot/spicy as you like. So ask for it. The restaurant consists of two floors. There is a distinct bar area on the first floor. Tables can be collected for large parties.

I'm never sure how I feel about Indian food. Do I like it? Dislike it? Does it make my sensitive stomach hurt? Do I want it more than I want, say, Thai, which I love? Indian food has always been sort of a mystery to me. BUT OH, INDIQUE. Indique changes everything. Indique is divine. Smooth & satisfying mango lassis, impeccably mixed cocktails, flavorful dips & chutneys & spreads... Their Shrimp Varuval, jumbo shrimp cooked with onions, tomatoes, & spices, is hands-down the best shrimp I've ever had. And I love the Chicken Tikka Makhani (marinated boneless pieces of chicken cooked in tandoor & finished with a thick tomato sauce), & the rice that comes with their entrees is cooked to perfection, surprising leaps & bounds above all other rice (which seems like such a weird thing to say). I've never had anything else there, but I've also never dined there with anyone who was anything less than thrilled with their meal. The atmosphere is lovely, though it alternates between very quiet when it's empty & very loud when it starts to fill up. They also have a great patio that overlooks Connecticut, perfect for a sunny day or a sunsetting evening. Bottom line, I love Indique & would go back much, much more frequently if I were able to afford it.

I have been here several times and always enjoy it. Decor is very nice specially if you sit upstairs. A nice touch in appetizers that combine local favorites like crabcakes and add the Indian food touch to it. Location is great, right next to Cleveland Park Metro on the Red Line.

Disappointing experience.. horrible food.. No salt in one of the most basic food - dal. Dry tasteless paneer... it is not worth it..

Updating my review after a recent visit. Chickpeas and lentils were again standout. Chicken tikka masala is creamy and flavorful. Lamb is equally tasty. Service is slow but courteous. Decent for the neighborhood, not a destination.

I couldn't stop speaking the name of this place... Indique. Indique. Has a funny smooth feel in your mouth. Anyway, the food here was excellent! I'm Indian-American, and I'm usually pretty discerning about my Indian food. This restaurant knocked it out of the park, with a nice, modern-esque decor (how I hate the classic white tablecloth, icy water, bad Indian artwork, and gravy-stained aprons that characterize most Indian places...), very friendly (if a little slow) service, and, most importantly, very tasty food! I'm hoping to come back to this place soon.

Poor Customer Service / Management. I came for a two-year anniversary as we love Indian food and had a good experience at its sister restaurant, Indique Heights. Sadly, the food at Indique was mediocre at best and sub-par for the price. While excusable (and unfortunately all too common), the poor customer service was not. A restaurant voucher was incorrectly applied to the post-tax amount rather than pre-tax amount. After bringing it to the waiter's attention and subsequently escalating to the manager, they refused to properly apply it. Aside from the illegality, it was baffling to have them show me the "fine print" that clearly states the correct usage yet still refuse to do it. While disagreements do occur, the rudeness associated with this incompetence was unacceptable.
