Children's Book Author and Freelance Writer in Los Angeles.
Introduction
I've authored more than a dozen children's books, and have created print and digital content for American Girl, Scholastic, Highlights for Children, Capstone Publishers, and more. As a classically-trained journalist and former magazine editor, I love sharing unique stories and developing engaging content that educates and entertains. Some of my favorite projects include narrative nonfiction, short stories, and interactive mobile app content.

When I'm not writing for kids and teens, I work with brands and startups on content strategy and social media, and I dabble in tech and travel writing. One of the few things that pull me away from writing is traveling. Recent highlights include India, Japan, and Cambodia.

Turn it off or leave it behind! Sometimes enough is enough.
Some people find that minimizing technological distractions helps them focus on themselves and the outside world.

I have two distinct sides: the copywriting side (words that sell) and the editorial side (fun lifestyle articles and books). It’s the business side and the creative side. I like both, really I do. I love tackling projects for businesses and solving marketing problems. But I also like brainstorming slumber party ideas for tween girls.

I know. So random.

It took me awhile to realize that these two strengths could play off each other instead of discredit each other. It was similar to the epiphany I had as a child that adults — not kids — ran Disney World.

So here’s my YouTube video on why my business is like a mullet.
I do not recommend Tasha Chambers or Chambers CPA LLC. Tasha was great to work with in person. It was once I left her office that things turned south. She neglected to answer phone calls and emails for months. I eventually had to hire a new CPA who discovered unbelievable amounts of errors on Tasha's part that financially hurt my small business -- we're talking thousands and thousands of dollars due to missing paperwork and incorrectly filed paperwork and late filed paperwork. These errors could have easily been avoided. She continues to avoid my phone calls and emails. I've spoken with other clients of hers and know that I'm not the only one who has had this experience.

This place is so cheap and so good. Get the patacon with beef. SO GOOD. The spicy sauce is also amazing. One of the best-kept secrets in Columbus!
