We knew there must have been a good reason the shower tray had a crack in it!

What started out to be a straight forward shower to bath change, for a client whose shower tray cracked in the middle, turned into something else!

Rather unfortunately for the client, the previous installation was, let's say, a little below standard. Shocking in fact.

Waste water pipe "secured" with a cable tie and a bit of old cable, with double helpings of silicone, water leaking around the tray causing the wooden floor to rot, an incorrect installation of tiles on wood...and as a side point, an electric socket which only worked if the light was on.

A complete new marine plywood floor with Schluter Ditra matting and new tiles, reconfiguration of water pipes for the bath tap,a much needed new and secure waste pipe, and a little rewiring makes this room a nice place to relax.
With dimmable spot lights - which don't control the power outlet.

Makes life easier. And less messy.

However, unsure of the environmental impact, although it can't be worse than concrete. For every tonne of cement produced there is 1.25 tonnes equivalent of CO2 released.

Some of these are really handy, 2nd & 6th in particular.
Wouldn't go as far to say genius though...

A recently completed, much needed, WC renovation.

Why someone thought it was a good idea to cover a natural wood beam with plywood is anybody's guess. Good to revive it...

Fit 2 squares into a square and a triangle!

Recent project was to take 2 x Ikea Kallax shelving units and adapt them to utilise all the space available.

Worked out nicely - perhaps a nice ladder wouldn't go amiss.

On the move agin. A quick trip to Bavaria recently.

Unlike where we are located, they are used to dealing with half metre of snow, as opposed to panicking when half a mm falls.

An ice scraper might have been handy, or some de-icer. Store card does the same thing

Front wheel drive towing uphill in fresh snow from a standstill.

Fowards didn't work.

Backwards did.

A little weekend work. Gotta do what ya gotta do

Original spout too short and too low.
Longer spout still wouldn't have cleared soap dispenser.
Solution was to turn tap upside down, swap the red and blue indicators around, and add an after market extendable spout. Which fortunately twists through 180° - otherwise we'd wash the ceiling on every use.

One of todays light installations - 7.5 metres looks like 5 metres from the ground and 10 metres from the top of the ladder
