Lightning Flashes
It's October. And one of the greatest things about October is Halloween. And I'm not just talking candy and costumes. October is a time for tricks and treats, but also for frights, thrills, bad movies, and scary stories. The theme for the Writers Ramble thi...

I think your idea of seasonal writing is a good one. Life changes, situations change. You have to adapt everything else in your life to these changes, and your writing would be no different.

And I definitely agree with writing short fiction when your writing time is limited. Short stories not only give you a sense of accomplishment because you can actually finish them in a decent time, but they also give you the option of submitting them to magazines and contests, which provides mounds of experience in rejection, success, and helping you learn to put yourself out there.

So our Writer’s Ramble this month is supposed to be about
our writing goals and resolutions for 2014. Before I can get to that, I have to
address a challenge that I’m currently faced with. See, I’ve been writing pretty consistently since 2006.
Almost eight ...

Are you a Pantser?
If your response to this question is, "What in the world
is a Pantser?" you're probably not a writer. You're also probably
normal.  This month's Writers Ramble topic is
Outlining vs. Freewriting. What works for you and why?  When it comes to writing fiction...
