We love the Long beer list. Servers are friendly and make great suggestions. Very knowledgable. Food is good. Just your standard pub food. Some was homemade; some was frozen. But still good. We've been more than once; never a bad visit.

I come here all the time. The staff is nice and the selection is overwhelming. Parking is terrible. The events are probably the best part - pint night on mondays and $3 burgers on wednesdays. The only downside is how long it takes to get your mug delivered. I waited 4 months the first time - then it broke - and I'm on month 2 of waiting for the second.

This public house didn't have the same ambience as the one in Tulsa. Jennifer and I had to drink upstairs, which was kind of cool but not great. I introduced her to Framboise. Yay! She likes a beer now. I don't remember which beer I drank, but it was good. For me, a bar is about atmosphere, and I would return and plan to return someday in fact, but I was not crazy about this bar like I thought I would be.

McNellie's is a great pub! I've seen it packed and I've been there when it's relatively dead. Being the introvert I am, I don't like the huge crowds. It's a nice place to sit and study and have a pint, or chat with a friend. I wouldn't say I'm a regular, but it's one of the few beer bars in town with a good selection. Being a Colorado native, I miss my local New Belgium offerings, but I know McNellie's usually (if not always) has a Left Hand or an Avery Brewing Co. tap open. You can usually find some good Belgian/Belgian-styled beers here, St. Bernardus Abt. 12, La fin Du Monde, etc. The bartenders know their products and are always friendly and attentive, even on busy nights. I have to say that the bottled selection can be a little drab, and the prices are a bit steep for bottled beer. Belhaven Black Scottish Stout can be found locally for less, and the Rogue offerings they have are in the same category. This has little to do with the establishment, I don't order bottled beer in a pub or bar because... you can usually get a six pack of it in a liquor store for the same price as on the menu. That's personal preference. McNellie's is a fine choice if you're in midtown and want a beer. The food is good, try the fish and chips! The Irish lunch special (potato-leek soup and a 12oz of Guinness) is excellent--you won't find a better lunch on a Sunday for less money.

No complaints here! Most of the time (90%) I have very attentive service and the food is a-l-w-a-y-s good. I enjoy the Belgian beer selection. Sometimes I have a server who is slightly inattentive, but oh well, that's anywhere you go. I wish there was better parking, but it's the midtown area, so that's that. I love the St. Patty melt and spinach salad...OH and the beer battered fries with honey mustard!
