previous entry complains about a rent increase but I have yet to experience that. over head lighting is very limited. plenty of outlets throughout the house tho. staff is helpful courteous and responsive. I have not had a single issue that wasn't resolved in 24 hours or less. patios vary in size. I was lucky with a patio that was over 400 square feet but most residents have a very small one.good amenities are available. Many children here but no playground. great pool. decent gym for a complex. bar-b-que pit is nice (propane) and has tables. its right beside the pool which makes entertaining guests great. plenty of visitor parking. parking garage is a little tight but considering the extremely convenient location in mission valley, its not a bad trade off. right between two malls, metro stops, target, etc. Most convenient location I have ever had. very well kept facilities in general. they recently added a dolly and cart rental service for new residents to use while moving in for a $15 fee. the san diego river is running along the back side of the complex and has a paved path stretching for a mile or so, great for running or strolling. view to the river is hit and miss with foliage/trees. the AC works well but you will find some areas of the house cool much more efficiently than others. the worst part is the tiny kitchen. if you spend a lot of time in the kitchen you will hate your kitchen. there is also very little storage space. washer and dryer are stacked units. they work well but stacked units are smaller. rooms are very spacious and carpet is good. you can paint all you want as long as you restore it to original condition prior to leaving. garbage is disposed of via a chute in various locations but recycling has no chute. you have to walk your recycling down to collection areas in the garage.

My wife and I signed for the "managers special". A reduced rental rate tactic that we fell for. I asked during the signing if there would be a rental increase the next year and what would that be. Vince and Stephanie were present. Vince told me they would not do that to us. If there were an increase it would be nominal. 15-20 bucks is what I recall. One year later we received the 100.00 increase letter. I confronted Vince who stated it was beyond his control. Stephanie said they hate doing that do their residents and dont agree with it. But there is nothing they can do... I said to Vince isnt it more expensive to have move outs as a result."No" he said. " The numbers work in our favor". Later, after we moved, they hired a cheezy collection company. Systematic National Collections out of Vista. Who called me one day, the agent "Ms. Reese" opened with "why would your wife want to marry someone like you". Who is this, I said. "This is an attempt to collect a debt"... I told stephanie about the call. She seems fine with it, She likes that collection company apparently. Systematic National Collections supervisor "Suzie Sheilds" told her they never called me. Beware about the rent increases. Don't believe what the staff tells you. Dont fall for any "specials" and remember you are just an accounting number.
