The brilliant menu of Texas Gulf Coast, Mexico, and Louisiana culinary influences appeals to the masses as does the novelty railroad car that houses this wonder of water treats.

The service was horrible, the portion of fried shrimp on the poyboy was disappointing, the gumbo was terrible and thick like paste, but worst of all they are expensive for a very small portion of food. DO NOT GO HERE LOOKING FOR DECENT SEAFOOD OR WHENEVER YOUR HUNGRY.

It was just so-so. Waiter David was excellent, thus the 3 stars. Shrimp ettoufee was bland and vinegary. Grilled flounder also bland. Fried shrimp and fried tomatoes were good. This is basically an enlarged diner. For the price I would rather go to Pappadeau.

The food is mediocre, at best. I expected a much higher quality meal for two people at the price of $102! The oysters were certainly farm raised, the fried crab and shrimp weren't fresh at all... giving me an upset a few hours after dinner. I give it three stars only because the waiter was extremely nice and professional. You're better off spending your money elsewhere than at Goode Company Seafood, if your looking for something good to eat.

All I ever get is the Campechana DE Mariscos during lunch. It gets 6 stars!

William was our waiter, he did an excellent job! The food is amazing. The fried flounder is out of this world. We couldn't get into our regular restaurant and decided to try this one. We were not disappointed.

I love this place! Have eaten here for years. Always great food and great service. Love the campechana and empanadas. Deep fried or mesquite grilled seafood is perfect. Need more stars. Five is not enough!

My wife and I shared the Mesquite grilled Flounder with Crab and loved it. Sides were very good. Service was great. My only complaint would be the beer selection which I am admittedly selective. Overall a great dinner.

Some folks like straight-forward food. When they order their food they want it to taste like what they EXPECT that food to taste like based on past experiences at other restuarants. I like places that come up with something of their own and do that...REALLY WELL. Goode Company Seafood is definitely the latter. The mesquite grilled choices are some of the best seafood ive ever had. The ceviche and the hush puppies are unique and delicious. The fun setting (in an old train car) and the consistant service are just an added bonus to the dining experience here. I am back as often as i can.
