The brilliant menu of Texas Gulf Coast, Mexico, and Louisiana culinary influences appeals to the masses as does the novelty railroad car that houses this wonder of water treats.

Seafood (away from the Seawall, of course) at its best! The outside of the building is themed as a train car, but inside it feels more like you're inside a boat with pictures of big fish catches all around. It's a great non-formal sit-down restaurant for all things fish; I tried the Fried Shrimp Po-Boy (sandwich) and it was excellent, with complimentary garlic butter, tartar sauce, and other dips upon request. Great atmosphere, great pricing, and, most importantly, great food.

The service was horrible, the portion of fried shrimp on the poyboy was disappointing, the gumbo was terrible and thick like paste, but worst of all they are expensive for a very small portion of food. DO NOT GO HERE LOOKING FOR DECENT SEAFOOD OR WHENEVER YOUR HUNGRY.

One of my favorite seafood places in town. Their mesquite smoked shrimp and fish is awesome and the campenchana is the best I've ever had.

Food is average quality. I ordered the crab cake and it was served a little cold kind of like sitting out for a bit. The environment is truly a classic diner and staff seems friendly. I prefer Pappadeaux just a few blocks away which offers better quality by a mile.

My favorite seafood restaurant in Houston. The mesquite grilled entrees are a favorite. Best gumbo and superb poorboys.

William was our waiter, he did an excellent job! The food is amazing. The fried flounder is out of this world. We couldn't get into our regular restaurant and decided to try this one. We were not disappointed.

Fantastic Seafood. Extremely busy. Weekend prime time it will be very difficult to not have to wait.

It was just so-so. Waiter David was excellent, thus the 3 stars. Shrimp ettoufee was bland and vinegary. Grilled flounder also bland. Fried shrimp and fried tomatoes were good. This is basically an enlarged diner. For the price I would rather go to Pappadeau.
