I have been meaning to write this review for a few months now and after every tasty time we go to Tinga I tell myself to write it. So, earlier today as my family and I were enjoying another amazing meal at Tinga I felt compelled to finally start writting it. I had the Prime Flat Iron Steak (melt in your mouth fabulousness), my husband always gets the Carnitas (FTW amazing) and our teenaged twin boys both get the Genesis Burritos (which disappear and never any left overs). And the Cotija Cheese, the white cheese that is sprinkled on the beans, is a wonderful addition of authentic flavor. The staff is always accommodating and friendly, especially Brian and Bill. They always make us feel welcome and get everything just right. Modern day taqueria that we will be enjoying for years to come. Love it!!!!!

Very bad experience on a pleasant Labor Day Weekend. Very rude reception. The restaurant was almost empty yet the waiter was rushed and abrupt. We were asked to sit at a double table yet all the double tables where dirty. Since the double tables where dirty we sat at a table for four. The restaurant was almost empty and there were five empty tables for four or more yet the waiter in a rude and abrupt manner asked us to move to a dirty double table. My girlfriend who is very sweet and accepting said that it was time to go. So we left without eating. I noticed that there was a cafe two doors down that was absolutely packed. Even though the restaurant was packed the service was much better. I heard the food was good, but bad service is hard to stomach.

The Tinga was dissatisfying to say the least. I ordered guacamole and salsa- so they just put my guacamole in soup bowl of salsa. There was stinky crumbles of cheese on my tortilla chips. We seriously thought someone vomited nearby for a few minutes, only to find that it was the cheese. The bean paste was... just that. Bland bean paste. If I didn't want to taste my food I'd smoke like a chimney and eat at Carrows. The carnitas was a bit chuckie cheese-mcdonalds. My girlfriend even kept a grey tortilla in her purse to show people what the tinga was serving and she even threw up later that evening. plus they didn't serve Margaritas

Tinga is a modern day taco shop serving delicious tacos with a modern day twist. The place has a gastropub feel serving a variety of craft beers. My favorite item on the menu is not the tacos but the rice and beans they offer as a side dish. The best part is the servers are very informative about the menu and super friendly.

Amazing taqueria... pricey but worth it. Cochinita pibil (crazy spicy) and a dirty horchata (horchata with a double shot of espresso) is the way to go!

The spicy cochinita pibil(Port taco) is delicious and genuinely spicy. Great value overall and not too pricey across entire menu.
