A two vehicle crash, involving a car and a  pick up truck,  collided in the Philadelphia's Bridesburg section of the city. According to police two were injured in a late night crash at the intersection of Tacony Street near Bridge Street. Both drivers were transported to local area hospitals and are said to be in stable condition.

An early morning car crash has left at least 250 PECO customers without power. At approximately 5:00 a.m. a driver lost control of their vehicle and hit a live electrical pole. Emergency responders were able to free the driver and she was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The accident took place near 70th street and Holstein Avenue.

As the weather continues to warm many city residents have taken to enjoying Wissahickon Valley Park. Take extra caution as there has been an increase in car break ins despite an increased police presence and multiple arrests. It is believed that the thieves are waiting in the woods watching park goers to see where they store their valuables before a run, walk, or hike in the park.

A driver is accused of breaking Leandra's Law in Nassau County after being pulled over Saturday evening for allegedly crashing her vehicle twice, suspected DUI charges, as well as driving while intoxicated with a minor in the vehicle. 25-year-old Bianca Flores was arrested in connection to two separate car accidents Saturday evening, both Nassau County police and Rockville Centre police are investigating the multiple crashes. No injuries were reported with limited details being released.

Several articles discussing concussion and brain injury associated with professional soccer players have questioned FIFA's response to severe head injuries during the World Cup. FIFA's chief medical officer, Jiri Dvorak said in a news conference, "We have done everything to manage the concussions accordingly…" Yet three recent injuries and continued play time questions if the regulations are strong enough or whether  team doctor's decision to allow the player to continue to play should be revised.

A multi-vehicle car crash on I-95 has traffic funneled down to one lane near Cottman Avenue. Rescue crews are on the scene as 10 vehicles were involved in the early morning crash. The accident took place at about 11a.m. in the northbound lanes. Thus far no one was rerouted as being injured from the crash as police are still investigating the cause.

Police have arrested a couple in connection with a hit-and-run that left one man seriously injured on April 21st in Ridley Park. Police believe that 25-year-old Adrienne McCrea was behind the wheel at the time of the incident and with the help of her boyfriend 31-year-old Ty Winsheimer investigators believe that the couple went to great lengths to try and cover up their involvement in the incident including lying to police and selling the truck believed to be involved in the accident a Ford F-150. The incident took place at around 11:00 p.m. along Chester Pike in Ridley Park. The victim lost his leg below the knee and is still recovering from the ordeal.

Two cars collided on I-95 last night injuring severely injuring four people  in Southwest Philadelphia. At approximately 6:15 near Island Avenue a silver car slammed into a red SUV causing it to flip. One male driver was ejected from his vehicle and transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania while three others were injured including a 7-month-old who taken to Hahnemann Hospital in stable condition. It is unclear what caused the car accident, an investigation is still underway.

The Delaware County SPCA's Smarty Paws program kicks off this Friday July 11th from 2-5 p.m. located at the Delco SPCA's Adoption Center at 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063. The Smarty Paws is a summer reading program for those aged 5 through 13 that helps cats in the adoption facility relax to the sound of children reading while at the same time help to build reading confidence in a judgement-free zone. Plus the more books you read the more chances you get at a prize raffle at the end of the summer.

A tandem skydiving incident left two hospitalized in Perkasie, Bucks County this morning. The Federal Aviation Administration is still investigating the cause but released preliminary findings that the parachute malfunctioned causing a veteran instructor with over 4,900 previous jumps and a firs time jumper hospitalized with several injuries. The two skydivers fell onto the grassy field at Guth Elementary School before being flown to Temple University Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital. Police are withholding the names of those involved but have released that they are both in stable condition.
