Best burger in this section of town. Nearest one that beats it is Miller Union

As authentic as the vomit we saw on the sidewalk outside! Great signs all over the bar.

It's about a 15-20 minute paddle from Cedar Key, but once you get there you are in another world. Dense woods, empty beaches, birds (and insects) galore. Walk from the main beach to the graveyard for a trip back in time to unspoiled Florida. Interesting pencil factory ruins are scattered throughout the island.

It was the Saturday of the infamous Iron Bowl that ended on a last second missed field goal, run back for a touchdown by Auburn so the place was understandably packed and boisterous. Still, the service wasn't spectacular and the wings were small and hard. Might have just been reaching the bottom of the barrel. Normally I love their wings.

As a homebrewer of west coast IPA's I can be a little snobby. This place makes good beer, even great beer. It would succeed in Portland, OR or Denver, CO. I live in Atlanta, GA and have been tempted to make the 3 plus hour drive just to go here! The food is excellent as well. We go there for every meal in Asheville - no joke - and we're in Asheville a lot...

Go in early November for spectacular foliage. 360 degree views and about the quietest place in all of N. Georgia. Great Syrah. Laid back atmosphere - we brought our dogs and let them run around off leash!

I've camped all over the Southeast and this is in my top 2 (the other being Mt Mitchell State Park in N.C.) If you are tent camping, you are within 25 feet of the surf at high tide. I wouldn't even WANT to be any closer! Site 41 is very large and right by the beach access if you can get it. Make sure to climb the lighthouse and hike out to the marshes.
