The Melting Pot is THE most fun and unique restaurant in the Troy area.

Located right off of I-75, near The Somerset Mall, and only 15 minutes from downtown Detroit, we are the area’s premiere fondue restaurant. Not your typical fine dining destination, the Melting Pot is the perfect spot for a romantic evening, birthday, anniversary, or group celebration.

You won’t find anything as unique as our multi-course fondue experience among all the restaurants in Troy, MI. Most guests start their meal with one of our creamy cheese fondues, followed by a customizable entrée featuring the likes of chicken, steak and seafood. No one can leave the Melting Pot without dipping in to one of our decadent chocolate fondues. We also offer a variety of freshly prepared salads, too.

We provide options for those following gluten free and vegetarian diets.

For ten years, we have been voted by our guests as one of the best restaurants in Troy. Make your lunch or dinner reservation today to find out why.

Great place for a social evening. My wife and I went for a fun evening. It's nice to go to a place and take a couple hours to eat and not feel rushed. The beer and wine selections are top notch.

The food was great, the experience was unique and the staff was excellent. Our only complaint was the wait time. The wait time between courses seemed extraordinary. Our meal time was over 2 hours and we took the 4th Course (The Chocolate fondue) home with us.

Maybe only worth 1 star. Went there for my husband and mine's anniversary. After being seated my husband noticed his seat was uncomfortable, as in wobbly/unbalanced/wood planks in the middle that were not upholstered well. My seat was fine. We told the lady who seated us and she replied, "oh, they're all like that". Very off-putting response to a valid concern. We told our waitress when she arrived and we went to about 4 (!) different tables before finding one with 2 stables benches. One of the chairs only took a tap before actually FALLING OVER onto the table/floor. Absolute great first impression. As for the rest of it... Our waitress was actually lovely. She diffused the stress of a bad first impression and helped us with the menu. Everything else aside, it was extremely overpriced food. AND they charge you an additional fee for "server preparation" .... seriously? It cost extra to have the waitress throw some cheese in a bowl? As if making everything ridiculously expensive to begin with wasn't enough, they had to add extra hidden fees? Never going there again and aside from my husband being perfect and us making the most of it in the moment <3, it was an extremely disappointing experience for both of us. Would NEVER recommend it to anyone. (This wasn't my first time, but it was his. Suffice it to say, the melting pot experience has lost any charm it once had.)

We went on a Sunday right when they opened & were seated right away. If you can get over the location of this restaurant you can have a lovely meal. I did call ahead & make reservations. I asked for a secluded seat (they had these at the Novi location). We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary. The seat they gave us was not secluded (we had people right next to us). I'm not sure if they don't have the same type of seating at this location or if they didn't follow through with what I asked for. Our waitress Jessica was amazing! The food was delicious. It took us approximately 2 hours to eat all four courses which is normal. This is the sixth time I've ate at a Melting pot. This is the third location & while it's nice inside the outside of the building may scare some people off. Plus, the restrooms are inside the office building not the restaurant itself & while they are not a far walk both needed work and did not appear to be cleaned daily.

What a shame! This place may have been all the rage before the "bubble" burst in 2008, but now it's just a leftover novelty from the Dot-com era. You'll find this little fondue museum disappointing, if not revolting! Conveniently located in the lobby of the abandoned City Center building! (It's right next to the ghetto jewelry store selling Pandora bracelet charms.) The crumbling parking lot and "WE BUY GOLD" sign next to the side entrance, should give you a good idea what's in store for the evening! Umm, by the way, that side entrance is locked. Once you slide into the booths, you'll notice that this place is a complete mess. There are mountains of dirty dishes piled up on the tables next to you and they will remain there for the next hour or so. The floor has food bits scattered everywhere and your table top doesn't look much better. Just so you know, the men's lavatory is located on the other side of the lobby outside the restaurant. Make sure you ask for good directions and follow the handwritten signs taped on the walls. My waiter was excellent, but no better than the usual staff at China Buffet. The wait time for your food is very long (which is odd since they serve it uncooked). The food is unremarkable. Meat cooked in boiling broths with too much salt. Corn chips dipped in cheese. Brownies and strawberries dunked in chocolate. You can find all that at Golden Corral. Have a good time! It's about $50.00 (minimum) per person with no drinks and that doesn't include tips.

What a pleasant and kind server. I do not remember his name, but he was the server for Georjean's birthday dinner Sunday.
