If you are following the SDN world or are attending ONUG this week, see what Pluribus and Supermicro are doing. As always, +Timothy Prickett Morgan explains the relationship and the resulting product so well that you don't need to read my press release now. :)
Whitebox server maker Supermicro is teaming up with hybrid server-switch maker and networking upstart Pluribus Networks to run the latter company's Netviso

Congrats to all of the TiE50 winners! There were 1,100 nominations and only 50 startups won. I am looking forward to seeing the full list tomorrow. I know  that CloudByte won and I saw others tweeting as well. http://www.tie50.net/TiE50Awards/

New Forbes post by +Reuven Cohen and a must-read for any startup, not only those in the cloud market. Excerpt: 'There are so many “we’re just like ABC but better” pitches it’s amazing.' Definitely "+1" this one, because I hear it all the time and I try, I try very hard not to position it this way in my pitches. The problem is that startups want to be associated with industry leaders (that, in some cases, spent tons of marketing money and paved the way, that is true) and always compare the "features" of their products with those of the leaders, so they can be placed in the same bucket. But startups are expected to be innovative; so do just that: innovate, instead of being just another version. http://www.forbes.com/sites/reuvencohen/2013/03/21/why-most-cloud-computing-companies-are-doomed-to-fail/

The curse of the public cloud or what happens when a smaller cloud storage vendor closes its doors with little warning: http://blog.scalecomputing.com/nirvanix-abruptly-shuts-down-the-curse-of-public-cloud/.  Is on-premise better for SMBs and mid-market businesses then?

Hey, +Louis Gray, I saw quite a few guys wearing Google Glass(es) at Structure in San Francisco today. Some looked like they needed the Glass to get noticed, but they also looked quite proud of it. :)
