Finally you can also see how polluted the air in Shanghai really is, thanks to hourly tweets from a device set up by the US Consulate in downtown Shanghai!

Part of interview that Sarah Lacy did with Rogeer McNamee about what Zynga should do with its $1.8 billion in cash. He gets it when he says "(they will) buy things that are not so beholden to Facebook". Fully agree, that's the biggest weakness of Zynga, their Zynga.com strategy seems to be a failure and they are still completely rely on Facebook.

I spoke at this event last week in The Netherlands. Excellent conference and great the a company like Ricoh took the initiative to organize this. Short compilation of the conference, I am also in it (after about 1:30 min I think).

I experienced a lot of things over the past 16 years of business travel all over the world, but what happened today for sure makes it into the top 3 of strange experiences. Welcome to Russia!

Exciting day ahead in NYC for the Tudou IPO! Picture: Gary doing his first TV interview of the day at the NASDAQ. I happened to run by there and saw him sitting in the glass studio on Times Square with a wall covered with Tudou logos behind him.

Very busy week ahead. Plan to stay off Google+, FB and Twitter for a couple of days.

Typhoon Mufia might be on its way to Shanghai... At least it will bring some relief from the Shanghai summer heat.
Some nice weather possibly heading our way.

Excellent piece on O'Reilly Radar about what Google+ could become: the social backbone of the Internet. Something Facebook can never be because of it's walled garden approach and the asymmetry of its friending system. Next to that for Google owning the social graph is not essential for its core business. They even have an incentive to open up as much as possible so that they can better organize the world's data. I am quite excited about this!
