I can't describe my experience with this company as anything other than fraud. They gave me a car with a flat tire and engine light on. When I went back into rental facility to return it and swap for another car, the agent was gone (45 minutes before closing). I had to get a rental from a competing company at the last minute at additional cost which Sixt naturally refused to compensate me for. To add on to this, I've been promised refunds twice by Sixt, once from the branch manager and once from corporate, and still have not received a refund after 6 weeks. Truly the most thoroughly unhelpful company I've ever dealt with.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! Had a full size car rented for 12 noon, but was going to be late so called to report this change. When we checked in NO CAR WAS AVAILABE (MY HUSBAND TALKED TO SOMEONE WHO SAID SEVERAL CARS WERE OUT GETTING TIRES). We were asked to take a seat and after 45 minutes or more I went to see what was going on . NO CAR YET! I did get every upset and manger told me it was my fault for not notifying them (also did e-mail them). After at least 30 minutes more, we asked to go to our hotel, and maybe we could get the car the next day. That too took forever to get. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE. THEN HAD AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $351.00 ON MY CREDIT CARD, WHICH I HAVE TO CHECK INTO! DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. (ALSO WENT THROUGH hotwire, which will also get a letter!!!

Rented a minivan in Myrtle beach tags had expired four months ago! I spent an hour helping remove because they had to find a temp tag and tools I was also overbilled by one day and can't reach anyone to get my money back never again

Pick up car was a pleasure the attendant at the counter was very pleasant. However, our key fob did not work and we were not in a position to return to Sixt to have it checked out - so this was somewhat of a pain. We have rented from Sixt several times and the only issue is during the return process some times no one is around to drop key off to and you are not told upon check-in that you can leave in the box outside. So I would suggest they let the customer know that since we are all trying to catch our flights......

I booked a car through another company and learned upon arrival that the car was at an off-site location. Sixt was able to provide a car for 1/2 of the amount as the other company. Car was clean and rental process was quick and efficient. I did have to pay extra for "walk up" required insurance, although the price was still fair. When I returned home, there was an extra charge for fuel. One telephone call and the problem was fixed by the same employee who provided the rental - again quick and efficient.
