Best idea EVER!

                                        The Labyrinth Aquarium!
don't you think your fish deserve their own labyrinth aquarium?
Clad in a unique design, the freshwater fish tank features individually-decorated bowls that are interconnected by glass tubes, so your guppies and tetras can swim to a different hang-out once they get bored of their usual bowl.
The Labyrinth Aquarium is made from Lucite acrylic, a transparent thermoplastic that's more resistant to shattering than glass, making it a safe display to put up anywhere in the house. You get six individual bowls, each with two tubes that allow your fish to swim into other bowls, hoisted atop powder-coated aluminum legs.

Looking forward to (hopefully) learning how to create content for the interactive whiteboard tomorrow @ LACOE. I should be sleeping!

Sooo ... the interactive whiteboard workshop was indeed about the kind of board you had in the Finance Academy, Craig. It was geared towards people who want to develop activities with the sofware that comes with the SMART boards. Two days of learning tips and tricks to developing activities for teachers and students to use the interactive features of the whiteboard. When you got yours - didn't it become a glorified whiteboard pretty soon? There are some pretty cool things you can do with it as a teaching tool for whole class lessons, as well as for small group activities ... even using it as a "center." (Go back in your mind to your elementary school days and you can probably remember what a center is!)

Anyway, it was put on by the SMART people at LACOE. I created a 4th grade lesson on comparing fractions. I wanted to learn enough to teach teachers how to develop their own activities. We're still in the baby stages with interactive whiteboards at Foshay. I think we have 12 of them all together. Half of them are portable and half are stuck to the walls. The Finance Academy bought two new ones and had them mounted. The Tech Academy has one and I think they're getting another this year. The elementary village has one and the rest are in the middle school.

Well ... there's my update. It was a good workshop and I think I learned enough to develop a mini-workshop to get the more enthusiastic teachers on board with writing their own activities. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Today I heard a dynamic presentation on RTI & improving student achievement by an engaging principal ... who said he doesn't believe in differentiated instruction and didn't need to seek buy in from teachers to implement change. I don't know what I think about this.

Ha! A quiet chuckle. I like it!

I had to share this:

I was searching around thesaurus.com for a few words and tried 'Ninjas' and the response I got was;

'Ninjas cannot be found'

Well played Ninjas... well played.

Why is gas so much less expensive in Yuma (than in L.A)? Maybe it wouldn't make me so crazy if I understood.

I started a blog. Yikes. My first attempt to move farther from "lurker" and closer to "contributor." Well, my first attempt was to set it up and then actually post a thought. My second attempt is to tell you I did it. There. Even though I can take it back (thank you, G+), I won't. My first real post is about teaching, learning and PLCs. Here's the link.
