Good luck with SPFBO this time--hope you get a reviewer with a more warped sense of humor. I'm not 100% sure I agree with your advice about self-pubbing even though it's going to stink (I'd like to see a little higher quality stuff out there in the self-pub world so that more people will be willing to try it), I get the point, which is that you have to move forward, and not spend your whole life trying to achieve perfection.

And, to be honest, I did it that way. I got a new (professional) cover after the first year, and I'm kind of itching to re-edit that first book. It's not awful, but there are things I could definitely improve.

Fun post! I've never been to Roswell, NM, but I have been to Rachel, NV, the only town along the Extraterrestrial Highway, and home of the Little A-Lee-Inn.

And I love that you keep your writing goals simple :D

And what's with all you people and Skittles? I think they are disgusting! It's chocolate for writing. Everyone knows that.

I like  your goals! I would probably die of happiness if I ever looked at the person next to me on the airplane and saw them reading one of my books.

Friday Flash: The Tomb of the Strange Feast
The Wendig Challenge this week was to write a story that had something to do with food. I'm still neck deep in prepping our house for sale (looking at every. single. book. to decided if it goes or stays...), so there was no time or mental energy to write a ...

So glad you managed to write a story, even if it was crappy. I think that puts you one story ahead of me for last month :(  I am totally derailed, but at least it's not by bad stuff. Just all-absorbing stuff.
