To support the launch of the much-hyped Galaxy Nexus, we created the Bell Twitter Lineup. In it, users "lined up" by sending a tweet, and held their spot by retweeting additional customized tweets every hour. Those who finished in the top 100 at the end of the 12 hour period were the first people in Canada to get their hands on the phone. It sure beats standing in a real lineup.

The Realizer lets you create your very own presentation prototypes of iPhone and iPad apps. Hence the name Realizer- because it actually enables you to realize something.

With the help of our partners Nascent Digital, we initially designed the Realizer for ourselves- as a way to better communicate our vision when presenting app concepts to clients. That proved very successful. So successful in fact, that we felt it a shame not to share this app with the rest of the community. Yep, we’re pretty giving like that.

The Dogwood Initiative is a Canadian sustainable land reform organization that opposes oil tanker traffic along British Columbia’s northern coast. A proposal for an oil pipeline from Northern Alberta to Kitimat threatens to bring hundreds of oil tankers to the coast. Because we didn’t have a budget for paid media, we created a brand new medium using something that passes through every Canadian’s hands every day: the one-dollar loonie coin. We created clear electro-static stickers that, when placed over the coin, make the loon and the water surrounding it appear to be covered in black oil. Reversed out of the black is our notankers.ca website address.

We wrapped a billboard in real 22 k gold to promote Science World’s Treasure! exhibit, and to dramatize this scientific tidbit: a mere 2 oz of gold can be hammered so thin it can cover a whopping 200 square feet.

The first of its kind, the golden board sparked a media frenzy. It took weeks of painstaking work by Canada’s top gilder Brian Dedora and required a full-time security guard to discourage theft and damage.

Only a handful of passing motorist were permanently blinded, but hey you can’t make an omelette without burning a few retinas, right?

(Totally kidding about that part.)

We created a fictitious winter demonstration sport— one that doesn't require snow or ice— to highlight the potential impact of climate change on winter sporting events. Bobwheeling was promoted in the streets of Vancouver before and during the Winter Games on behalf of Offsetters, the official carbon offset supplier of the 2010 Olympics.
