This is a useful model. I always used to look at a framework where we used the words 'adopt, adapt & innovate'. It is interesting to look at the different ways in which different individuals move through these different phases. There is no inevitability that anyone will move through all the phases - some will adopt (substitute) and then just stay there - often when it is a technology that has been imposed rather than chosen for a particular purpose. However, it is only once we move onto the later phases that we begin to see real innovation and transformation in the learning environment. Thank you for posting.
