I'm not one of those fans that lives in the past, but an interesting conversation came up today and I'd like to hear biased and unbiased opintions on the subject...not just your "off the top" opinions, but also why you think one way or the other. Overall, Jim Tressel undeniably dominated B1G football during his tenure at Ohio State. He understood the culture of football within the conference and knew what it took to compete in it. He had B1G in his blood (I just wish he had a little SEC in there too...). Michigan State had an unbelievebly good football team this year. I'm not taking away from that, but looking at the style and knowledge that Jim Tressel had, along with consistenly top ranked defenses under Heacock, how do you think the game this year would have panned out if it were the old coaching staff? There are a lot of variables to consider, but players would have been about the same considering they are mostly all Tressel recruits. Would Tressel have been a better B1G coach than Urban this year, or would the talent of MSU been too much for any Buckeye coach to beat?
