One of the weirdest and best things happened when I was a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding. I met her photographer who was also a book fan. We meet people all the time, talk for a few minutes, and how many times does it actually amount to something where you keep up with each other especially when you live states away from one another? Well, for whatever reason, +Magan Blasig and I stayed in touch, decided to launch a blog, and today I can call her one of the best friends I've ever had. Not only that, because of her we have thrown ourselves into a project that had made us more thoughtful, brought amazing people and experienced into our lives, and makes us appreciate reading books literature authors and the publishing world so much more than we thought. Thanks for a great 3 years, everyone! (Oh, we are giving away some swanky books too!)

Such a fun #MuppetMonday  today where I was able to connect a recent NYC event starring Lesley Ann Warren and her episode from The Muppet Show. If you are a fan of Cinderella, this is definitely a post for you to check out. :)

Even a year later, I still love pushing Jim Henson: The Biography. Not only is it perfect for fans who want to get more of a handle on the man Jim was, but it's perfect for pop culture, art, and even Disney fans. (The similarities between Jim and Walt are pretty interesting.) Because Wednesday would have been Jim's 78th birthday, I've teamed up with biographer Brian Jay Jones to talk about his writing process, Jim's work ethic, rumors he wanted to debunk and more. PLUS WE ARE GIVING STUFF AWAY. An ebook & Brian is signing an audiobook copy of the biography. Come check it out!

I'm all about High School Musical on the blog this month. I am rewatching the movies back to back, sharing my thoughts and observations with you, and hoping you'll take a chance. Can you believe this is the most popular Disney Channel Movie EVER? It launched the careers of a few celebrities, had the support of a real legend (in my eyes), and brought the movie musical to a whole new generation of kids. Hope you enjoy the piece!

On the brink of a new adventure, I shared some of my thoughts about why starting new things are scary and my secret weapon when it comes to finding strength to get me through. (Okay, so it's not so secret anymore. haha.)

Keith from The Disney Project shares a precious and unexpected moment from a trip to Walt Disney World. He even managed to snap a photo as a reminder. I think so many of us see strangers on vacation and we can't help but wonder if we will ever feel what they are feeling and experience what they are feeling. I'm so appreciative of Keith for getting personal in today's #simplemoment  post.

A new series about the quieter, unplanned moments experienced at Disney Parks. Not everything is about running to a reservation or a FP+ time slot. We have to take the time to enjoy our surroundings, and some writers from around the community will be sharing their own stories too. Happy reading! :)

Celebrating Disneyland's birthday & #DIsneylanders  by Kate Abbott -- a great book about a teenager on a family vacation with her parents, fighting for her independence but also hanging on to being a child. Authentic theme park fiction is hard to come by, and Abbott certainly got Disneyland right. It's a lot of fun, and perfect for Disney fans but those who question how valid it is to love the same "childlike" things as they grow up. :)
