History on the Hill
A view from the windows on a winter afternoon from the second story of the 1884 Mayfield College Administration Building on the campus of the Will Mayfield College. The college was in operation  until 1934 in Marble Hill, Missouri and will soon open as the Mayfield Cultural Center.

Things are coming together on the Mayfield Cultural Center plans. At our Will Mayfield Heritage Foundation meeting on Tuesday, January 27 plans were discussed for a Grand Opening to possibly coincide with the annual Mississippi River Valley Scenic Drive on the weekend of April 24-26. Hope everyone plans to come out and check out the center. Keep checking back for updates on what will be happening and if the Grand Opening is confirmed for April.

My daughter had her grandpa's leather WMC pennant, signed by him, framed for me--there's a pic of him in his .WMC basketball uniform to the side....it's up high on a wall but thought you'd enjoy seeing it anyway.... If you have photos you would like to share or a history of former Will Mayfield alumni post or email to wmayfieldfoundation@gmail.com

If walls could talk! The walls at Mayfield Cultural Center are speaking to us. This blast from the past is writing on the walls that is being uncovered during renovations. Do you have a family member who went to Mayfield College in Marble Hill? We would love to hear your story.
