This is just my personal experience with Curly Cakes. I recommend you try this place for yourself and make your own decision. I really wanted to like this place. I was in boston CRAVING a chocolate cupcake. Went to this place. Service was great. Cupcakes looked delicious..........that was about it. The cupcakes were just average. Came in a cute box though. But yea, the Chocolate cupcake didn't have much taste to it, neither did the icing. The red velvet and the boston creme cupcake were pretty good though. Overall, the cupcakes here are over priced. i bought 3 cupcakes for 11 bucks. Expected alot more bang then what I got for my buck. Wouldn't make a special trip to boston for the cupcakes here. but I recommend you try Isabelle's curley cakes for your self and make your own decision.

I've given this place a few tries and I'm still iffy about it. The prices are outrageous--I understand it's Beacon Hill and a Todd English place, but it's not right. And the only frosting there that's good is the cream cheese. Everything else tastes like pure butter, and even though it's called buttercream frosting they need to tone it down!

I really wanted to love this place and have been a couple times but I think you can get better cupcakes at Whole Foods. The shop looks so cute and they offer interesting flavors, eggnog, chocolate peanut butter but I haven't liked one cupcake I have had here. I do not like super buttery buttercream, its almost inedible here. There are always young girls working and the service even has not been that great.
