Ukraine has a continental climate, with cold winters and summers that get progressively warmer closer to the south and east; as the country is big enough, its climate is varied.

Winter in Ukraine is mostly cold: average temperatures in January are -3°C in L'viv (or Léopol), in the north-west of the country, -3°C in the capital Kiev, and -4/-4.5°C in the eastern regions. The snow covers Kiev for about 80 days a year. Periods of extreme cold are also possible, but they are rare and short-term.

Summer in Ukraine is acceptable in the north-west, with peaks around 23/24°C in July and August, and progressively warmer to the east, with peaks of 25°C in Kiev and 26°C in Kharkiv, 27°C in Odessa, 28°C in Dnipro. The interior regions, however, are exposed to heat waves, which last a few days, with peaks of 35°C or more.

It's better that you bring in your suitcase...

...in winter: very warm clothes, jumper or fleece, down jacket, hat, gloves and scarf.

...in summer: for the north-west: light but also in-between-season garment, with the possibility to cover and discover; umbrella. North-east and Kiev: short-sleeved shirts for warm weather, jacket and sweatshirt for evenings and cooler days; umbrella.

Modern art in Ukrainian daily life.

There appeared one more mural on Troieshchyna, neighbourhood of Kyiv. The author of that, was an Australian street artist, Fintan Magee, which named his creation "The visionary".

That`s what the artist said about his work and place, which was chosen for it: "For me, the street art and muralism, in particular, have an important social significance, because, it is overcoming the gap between the general public and the gallery. ... That's why I was glad to work on Troieshchyna, which is geographically removed from the centre of Kyiv. In this way, we can integrate art into the daily life of the people of the whole city."

Top Information Technology (IT) Jobs

Information technology (IT) is a sector with abundant opportunities for tech graduates to earn a substantial income and develop a satisfying career. Which are the best jobs for entry-level candidates ready to launch their IT career? There are many job opportunities that offer both high earnings and a strong employment outlook. Some positions require a four-year college degree. For others, a two-year degree, internship or freelance experience, or certification may get you hired.

Below is a list of some of the most common jobs from the IT industry, as well as a description of each.

Computer Network Architect

Computer network architects design, build, and maintain a variety of data communication networks. They typically have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Some also have a master’s degree in business administration (MBA), with a focus in information systems. Computer network architects can earn relatively high salaries.

Computer Support Specialist

Computer support specialists help computer users and organizations.

Some of these specialists (often called computer network support specialists or technical support specialists) support computer networks by testing and evaluating network systems. Others (sometimes called computer support specialists or help-desk technicians) provide customer service by helping people with their computer problems. Because job descriptions vary, the requirements also vary. Some require a bachelor’s degree, while others need an associate’s degree or post secondary classes.

Database Administrator

Database administrators help store and organize data or companies and/or customers. They protect the data from unauthorized users. Some work for companies that provide computer design services. Others work for organizations with large database systems, such as educational institutions, financial firms, and more.

Information Security Analyst

The increased incidence of security breaches and the associated danger of identity theft has enhanced the importance of protecting data on commercial and governmental sites. Information security analysts help defend an organization’s computer network and computer systems. They plan and carry out a variety of security measures, such as installing and using software, and simulating cyber attacks to test systems. Information security jobs are expected to grow much faster than average, with an increase of 28% between 2016 and 2026.

Software Developer

Software developers design, run, and test various computer programs and applications. They usually have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Top Entry-Level Jobs in Information Technology

People with jobs in the career field of information technology (IT) use computers, software, networks, servers, and other technology to manage and store data. Tons of jobs are available within this field. Just a few of the broad occupations in this field include:

- Web developers, who design and create websites

- Database administrators, who keep data organized and accessible to people who need it

- Network administrators, who ensure that day-to-day operations work

- Information Security

- Artificial Intelligence

Job titles can vary greatly from one company to another. For instance, one company may recruit for a "developer" where another recruits for a "programmer" — but the work may be precisely the same at the two companies, despite the difference in job titles. Also, many of the skills in this field are transferable, which means candidates can apply for many different roles.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), jobs in IT are growing well above average rates of all other occupations, with 13% growth expected from 2016 to 2026.

This growth is no big surprise, as technology continues to flourish with new websites, applications, and products launching constantly. The BLS predicts that the IT industry will add 564,100 new jobs by 2026.

The "Internet of Things," or web-connected products, is a major development in the information technology industry the same way mobile apps did a few years ago.

Now, it is common for baby monitors to be viewable through a personal online stream. It’s also common to be able to set home alarms, start the coffee brewing, or turn the heat on and off remotely, by using web-based apps.

The other powerful motivator that will contribute to job growth in the IT field is the advent of cloud computing. There is currently high demand for cloud architects, cloud software and network engineers, cloud services developers, cloud system administrators and engineers, cloud consultants, and more.

In Odessa, on the pier of the beach Langeron, a new art object appeared: a bronze door called "The House of the Sun".

This door is a copy of that, which for about 150 years stood in one of the houses on Richelieu Street. Then it was thrown into the dump, where it was found by the author of the art object - the famous Odessa artist and sculptor Mikhail Reva. Today, the workers carried out the final work, fixing the construction on the pier.
