Fantastic community awards ceremony West Sussex County Times! A wonderful way to show what an incredible community of people live in our district. I am so proud of Adam my 9 year old son, this was his 3rd award for environmental work this year. WWF Earth Hour Awards ceremony in the Palace of Westminster, P.E.A. (People, Environment, Achievement) Awards in London and then these county awards. What a star he is ;-) Thanks to all the people and families who are on our greening journey with us!!!

This award is for all the families in West Sussex who are working with us to move towards a more sustainable future for our children and generations to come. Thanks to the following families, in no particular order: Cheri Midderigh, Sarah Poole, Jill Shuker, Alexandra Wyver-Northam, Laura Woodrow, Jennifer Edwards, Dawn Baker, Patricia Fitzroy, Karrie Mellor, Alan Wright, Jeanette Mercer, Nicola Peel, Mark FitzGibbon, Anne Sartain, Rosalind Peters, all the amazing Climate Reality Leaders (12k around the World) and their families, our hero Al Gore and of course my family, Adam, Brian and Jean (Mum), sorry I am sure I have missed some off. Thanks to the P.E.A. Awards and Jarvis Smith for organising such an inspirational event. Theme was Day of the Dead, hence the flowers!

Our county-wide Eco Beast Sculpture competition hits the Littlehampton Gazette... Creative competition encourages waste prevention

Do you know that drilling for oil and gas at Broadford Bridge, near West Chiltington started on 31st May? Do you want lorries with oil, gas and chemicals driving around our little country lanes, risk of polluted air, oil flare lighting the night sky and the potential for carcinogenic chemicals leaching into our soil and water supply? Horses with nosebleeds, people with headaches and more carbon dioxide being pumped up into our atmosphere, causing climate change??? Please read and take action against this...

We all know how much children love junk modelling, so our competition and public exhibition should go down a storm. Planned in partnership with Horsham Festival, Biffa, WSCC Waste Prevention Team, Sussex Green Living and Wastebuster

Nurseries, schools, uniformed children's groups, Children and Family Centres in West Sussex are invited to participate.. Please share far and wide!
