Have an herb #garden? You may know that #herbs are great for adding flavor to food, making teas, aromatherapy, natural medical treatments, and a myriad of other uses. Love #peppers? Here's some great tips for #growing them yourself:
1. Use fertilizer with high-nitrogen levels only when you’re growing peppers in poor soil, otherwise you will not produce a high yield.
2. Use row covers and black plastic mulch in cooler climates. In warm climates, use shade covers.
3. Don't let ripening peppers touch the soil. Raise them up with a stake, and put mulch, grass clippings or straw under the growing peppers.
4. Use well-drained soil with a pH balance between 6.0 and 6.5.
